Cheers lads.
Yeah, Leda Group A coilovers. The cage I cut in half through the middle, put the one side in then the other, then welded it back together using internal sleeves. Was hard work, but worth it.

Re: Muz's Escort RS Turbo. Loooooads of work done 24/08/12
Cheers, mate.
Got the next fuel loom sorted with a built in relay. I still need to tidy the wires up but untill I know its wired in correctly they are just in loose.
Hopefully it will be ok wired in this way with the lift pump being piggy backed off the Bosch pump terminal. The relay and fuse are both 30 amp, all the wiring is brand new from the ECU back and the current draw on the tow combined is less than 30 amps.
Also squared the other sides wiring away

Re: Muz's Escort RS Turbo. Loooooads of work done 24/08/12
So my box of fusebox bits has arrived from Polevolt.
Loom trunking, cable braid, battery cable for the kill switch, relay holders, fuse boxes etc.
I've decided to go with a different set of fuseboxes. 12 fuses on the Bluesea item was slightly limiting and because of the built in negative bus (which I don't really need) was also quite bulky given I don't have much available space where I want it all mounted, where the radio, cig lighter and ashtray were. It also has front mounted connectors so the wiring would be visible from the front and have to pass through holes in the panel. Again, not good.
Here's the panel with the available space marked out.
And here is the Bluesea.
Relay boxes mounted with space for 12 relays. No space left for switches etc.
New 8 fuse boxes giving me 16 fuses and much more space left for switches for fuel pumps, fan override, battery kill switch and extinguisher pull.
I'm also going to cut the middle mounts off and glue the two boxes together so they will fit inside the space.
I've worked out which circuits and relays I need.
High Beam R
High Beam L
Low Beam R
Low Beam L
Sidelight R
Sidelight L
Hazards and Horn
Radiator Fan
Wiper motor and washer pump
Taillights and Dash lighting
Indicators and reversing light
Fuel Pump - From Cossie loom
Ecu - From Cossie loom
Alarm fuse 1
Alarm fuse 2
Gauges and Collins Monitor
- Central Locking (not sure if I'm keeping this but might do because of the alarm)
- Electric mirrors (not sure whether to keep them or not)
and relays
I've simplified the existing Escort system as it uses 5 lighting relays for a dim/dip function which is pointless so going over to a simple 2 relay system.

Re: Muz's Escort RS Turbo. Loooooads of work done 24/08/12
Panel is finished and ready to be installed and linked to the car loom.
Edges were all filed flat and 600 wet sanded to finish. All boxes fitted as well as a battery kill switch and a fire extinguisher pull. There's still plenty of room under the fuses to fit the switches for the horn, fuel pumps and fan etc when they arrive from Polevolt.
And my Sparco seat rails arrived so I can fit my seats.
