Nowt doing at moment, last thing was the RS1800 Inlet manifold and Mondeo fuel rail and injectors that were fitted couple weeks back.
Goes very well, just need the ECU sorting

Re: My 16v 2i thread :-)
No updates really apart from an RS1800 ECU gone in today and pulls like a monster
Thanks to DANIELP1991 for that, good price and very speedy delivery
It needs time to settle in but I can feel some difference already lol
Got a chance of a superchip as well that was run on a 2fdc RS1800 ECU, would this be ok to use? The code on it is 4824.
Steve.

you should try and get a H.O inlet and injector plate from the RS1800i or escort Xr3i 130ps, i noticed a nice step in power and alot more torque

ah yes looking back i can now see the 2.0 part
it wont be making more than 160 though mate, not with the RS1800i inlet, they top out at 160bhp as its commonly known

its hard to say, theres not many out there either, unless you adapt another manufactures one to fit
areasix make some, mostly for use on a turbo'd zetec, other than that carbs or throttle bodies are best

tbh mate seing as its K reg, you might as well slap some carbs on it, the emissions wont really matter as its before '92 theyre far more acceptable

Have thought about that but don't really wanna do too much more messing really lol
Will see what I can get out of it the way it is, maybe a few more tweaks but nothing else so major

Re: My 16v 2i thread :-)
Ok, thanks to DANIELP1991, I have now got and fitted the Superchip he had for sale.
Pulls like a bloody train now
Tried to do a rough 0-60 but with the front wheels spinning up for a couple of seconds I only managed about 7.5 seconds, so with no wheel spin I reckon I could do it in under 6
Next thing is to get it wired up and remapped, then the power run and see what I am looking at before deciding to take it further.
Bodywork will be getting done this year though.
Bring it on.

Re: My 16v 2i thread :-)
Glad it made a difference mate!
be better when you got it mapped to the spec of your car. as at the moments is mapped for 2fdc rs1800 ecu and yours is a 2fbc ecu. thats why i wasnt sure if it would work.
de-cat would make a good difference now as i said by text.. much less restriction in the exhaust then.
you still looking for coilovers? as im selling my avos..

Nah mate, am happy with my set up it handles really well ta
Thinking about the texts, the 2 litre engine is 136bhp standard yeah? Surely with the mods I have, mine should be pushing more then 145 ish?
Just a thought lol

Re: My 16v 2i thread :-)
how are you judging this 0-60 time? most home done efforts are completely inaccurate
i really dont want to burst your bubble mate, bt it has happend to me, and you should get fair warning as i did
i really doubt you'd be making over 140bhp mate
a ported blah blah blah maf and tb is cannon fodder and it wont change a thing on a zetec, they dont respond particually well to breathing mods as it is
it wouldnt have been 136bhp when you dropped it in due to age, mileage and the smaller exhaust on your fiesta compared to the mondeo it was rated in etc etc
just need to lower your expectations a bit, i was expecting 140 on my 1.8 only made 126bhp, and i have a full exhaust and good induction set up (a blow in the exhaust and overfueling have hampered me yes, but goes to show)
the best most dramatic changes on a zetec (most engines tbh) can be made using a new sportier set of cams
but dont bother with phase 1 cams theyre crap, was really dissipointed with mine

I know what you're saying mate, and you defo know more than me lol
The engine had only done 56,000 when I got it and was an atuo as well so it hadn't had much stress.
Still, what ever it is running at, it's bloody fast and a lot of fun lol
