Mirrors look spot on mate. I might have to look into getting a set of those original dealer stickers for my MK2.

A few new pics of the car with the mirrors fitted;

I loved having the standard rad/cass in but after a lot of thought I decided to have my Alpine unit put in along with sound proofing in both doors and new Hertz standard size speakers in the standard positions. The flash just illuminates the orange speakers here, otherwise they can't really be seen. I've OF COURSE kept the radio cassette and standard 20w speakers and they can be re-fitted anytime! 8)

Green illumination to match the dials, and yep...... that's classic fm showing! i never listen to the radio :D

lol thats ok chap, i love the cassette storage pocket and even tho i have the CD player in for now, it will always stay in the car. It's just another period touch that reminds us that the car is actually 20 years old!!! :o .... thats very cool about the head on pic, nice to hear you like it that much. I was pretty chuffed with that picture :D

At this time of year, theres not much to update the thread with, the car is currently under a cover in the garage with a battery trickle charger wired up to it.............. however, one small addition is that i've recently fitted a subtle black leather Momo gearknob as the standard turbo one is starting to wear as can be seen in the photo above and i don't want it to get any worse as i know i won't get a replacement one. Anyway, just a simple black leather one, no flashness here and it actually looks quite in keeping with the period of the car 8)

The only other small thing is that thanks to Alex ('capri' on here) my car should be in the reader's cars section in Performance Ford in the February issue, so keep an eye out for that :D

Awesome, nice one mate. Glad to hear your keeping the wear off the standard gearknob :aviator:

I have a near mint spare gearknob that I have for the future, so I dont mind using the one I have on the car, which is more worn.

Good news about the mag feature too, cant wait to see it!

Yours is still one of my fave RST's!

Glad to hear she is under a cover like mine too :Q

Aye, it's a bit of a garage ornament as i'm sure yours is Dave, but couldn't have it out on these roads at the mo :o LOL, that's lucky having two standard gearknobs, i too would just use the worn one if i had a mint spare 8)
