Cheers guys.

No plans for it as yet. Gonna keep it pretty much how it is, when I get bored I may up the power to about 200 mark but tbh Im happy with it, just want to give it a good clean and change a few more bits, got all of it sat at home waiting for me to do but working in Denmark for a week or 2 so I have set the bulldog* loose to keep it guarded for me.

*Bulldog - Missus - same thing just dont tell her I said that

If it was black or white I would have kept the ambers but it preferred the clears with the red :) keeping ambers at the side and original rears, did think about the euro's but decided against them

It's a shame you didn't keep the ambers on, apart from that it looks minty mint.

That's a cracking car chap, looks very smart.......... i too would leave the ambers on, but looking at my signature you can guess why i say that  The mirrors are a huge improvement BUT when the 3.5 ones are fitted, you won't look back as they say lol :D

EUFez - Cheers dude

rst-steve - I know what you mean, I bought them from the scrappy went to put them on and see they didn't fit (wrong hole size) so just stuck those ones on. Gonna colour code the 3.5s (not the baseplate) and get them on

Right bit of an update as to where I am with the car.

In no particular order lol. (sorry no pics yet got to sort them)

Had a problem with the car when the gasket on the custom manifold split and was making it sound like a tractor, eventually sorted it but then took it off to put the original manifold on lol.

The car overheated on me and I was lucky enough to catch it just as it was entering the red so took the car off the road until I sorted it. I then changed all the water pipes, flushed the system, replaced thermostat and housing, exp tank cap, new fluids, water pump and cambelt.

Bought a complete new lockset and fitted them, everything works off 1 key now :)

Moved on to the underside of the car where I started to replace the cossie brakes with standard but the weather soon put a stop to that so it stayed in the air for a few weeks until I had time to go at it again. :o

Missus started moaning because I had blocked her car in with the RS being on the driveway so put everything back on (cossie brakes etc) but only fingertight just so I could push the car out of the driveway get her car out and push back in.

Fired the car up to check the overheating issue and was still present with no heater either so the inevitable head gasket was ordered. Car sat for a few more days until............

.........I got a phone call from the neighbour at midnight while I was working away, asking me where my fiesta was because it wasnt on the driveway and neither was my Passat :o :o :o turns out someone had helped themselves to my keys and took the car :x (bearing in mind the running gear was on fingertight) luckily my neighbour went hunting and found the car less than a mile away and shortly after found the thieving scum who took it (who had a broken foot :o ) unlucky for the gammon slipper the car had no petrol, broken alternator and just started to overheat  Got the car back, thank god no damage externally but he had warped the head :x

So we replaced the head and gasket set and the result is what was desired all running fine. So with the battery on and the car running fine I took it for a spin, got 3 miles then the car was playing up again, you guessed it we forgot the alternator lol so quick run home grab another battery get it back home again.

And that is pretty much up to date.

Still to do.

Paint and fit Mk3.5 mirrors
Paint and fit Morettes
Refurb original wheels
Fit new brakes (standard)
Fit new alternator and belt
Fit new wishbones (bushes have seen better days)
Fit rear strut brace
Give a good clean
Drive and enjoy

Then after I have had a bit of fun take it off the road for a proper resto because although it has had one in the last 2 years its not top standard and I feel the previous owner wasnt as good as he said he was and has made a bit of a hash of some bits :x

RSGeorge :Paint and fit Morettes
Refurb original wheels

original 3 spoke wheels will defo make it look better but adding morettes to a standard looking car will stick out like a sore thumb.
they tend to look ok on modified fiesta's

just my 2p worth :)

Shes running again :D

Fitted new wishbones (bushes were an advisory on the MOT) this has eliminated the wheel wobble I got when breaking. The old bushes were shot to s**t and look to have been for some while so how it passed an MOT I would never know.

Standard (brand new) brakes fitted also, along with new CV boot. Took her for a good run (something I have not been able to do for 5 months) and she is running like a dream and surprisingly quick, want to get her on a dyno because I dont think its pushing standard figures, which is what I want :( but all in all Im a happy bunny again :D
