thanks , yeah i couldn't let my pride and joy be writen through insurance i like it so much had to be repaired what ever the cost, i did put on the old Si alloys on it, as it is was lower but they look to old for the car mayb a set of mondeo alloys may well b on the cards later but my main focus this year is to upgrade the handling by going for a set of coilovers i'm not sure what make yet, i also want polybushes all round and deflex adjustable wishbone arms to cope with the camber change and of course a bit more chrome here and there and tidy up a few bits of light hinden rust, but nxt week i'm getting a set of EBC discs and pads for the front and greenstuff pads, and if i have enough money a rear disc conversion and a full powerflow exhaust system but that will b towards the end of the year, ready for the 2.0 conversion i have planned

my fiesta made the trip from braintree essex to newquay and back with no problems! i got a few pics where we stopped on the way at stonehenge with my mates seat leon cupra r turbo and plus another pic of my car and my m8s very loud escort 1.4 rs2000 lookalike.
since fitp apart from a new engine it has ebc turbo grooved and dimpled discs and greenstuff pads which have made an improvement to braking and keeping the front wheels cleaner from brake dust,i will get a pic of them soon they look really good! and now my fiesta has no M.O.T as it failed on a number of things but should b back on the road soon

cheers yeah i'd say it looks mean rather than moody
cars now got a full years M.O.T now after failing on the following:
nearsdie cv gaitor split
handbrake no reserve travel
uneven rear brakes
nearside ball joint excessive play
offside rear wheel bearing
and both front wheels rubbing on full lock
now the car feels a whole lot better to drive, now its safe!

plan for si to have turbo conversion and got a mk2 fiesta
howdy! rite i have a big planned project for the si starting july 31st (when the tax runs out) and during the time its off the road which will be a while......... probably about 2 years, it will under go a full restoration and a 2.1 zetec turbo engine will be going in, and bare shell respray in a different colour (and some cool mods to bodywork), coilovers and lot, lots more
The 1.6 engine in my car now, will be going in my mates kit car which i will get sum pics of soon and it will b going in during the rebuild of the si
so...... in the time the si's of the road, i will of course need another car to cruise about in and its gotta/ will, be cool, so i bought a 1987 ford fiesta mk2 1.1 which got last nite for £50 with 4 months MOT with only 66k miles on the clock bargin!! runs and drives
Here's some pics of it
has only a few bits of rust but its overall very solid
the beasty 1.1 ohv engine
even came with a xr2 steering wheel
a few rust bubbles on nearsdie rear arch
and even has sum front spot lights!
the car won't be on the road until september as my insurance will drop a lot once i get my years no claims on the si
so in the mean time while i'm still driving si, i want to sort the litte mk2 out so its looks better than a old grannies car!
with a set of pepper pot alloys, xr2 side skirts, arches, front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and dash, with sum new style ford badges and clear front and side indiacators lower it 30 mm or so and fit a cherry bomb exhaust , oh and with full engine degrease and polish it will be looking a lot better!
so this should make it look and sound cool enough to drive around in during long 2 year project on the si
what u think?
sorry about picture quality they were taken in the dark with a camera phone i will get some new pics nxt week, of it cleaned and in daylight

yesterday i did a big wheels off clean to get as much dirt and grit off it as i could over the 20 years its been on the road
i started off with the interior
i was amazed to realise that the guy i bought it off smoked and therefore was ash all over the carpet so i had a look in the ash tray expecting a load of ash in there but........ no its was clean just that all the ash was all over the carpet, could have at least kept it tidy....ish simple use a ashtray
[url]
i found sum old carpet mats in my garage from my si, so i put them
cleaned the boot as well
its begging for some xr2 pepper pot alloys!
a couple ramdom pics of my si a bit dirty
i got as much dirt off the underneath of the archs as i could
i gave the engine a degrease, clean and a little service
i didn't get the time to polish it but i will do soon
nice and clean now in my nans garage until i get the pepper pots!

Wow, you've really been busy there!!! Looks smart to tell the truth, its not very often you see a mk2 in general anymore.
Its defo dying for a polish , and some pepper pots will certinaly give it a better stance

purple_fiesta :Cant agree with them about the bonnet tbh, them vents dont suit anything apart from a scooby. The rest looks pretty smart though
you have to addmitt tho its a clean scoop compared to some of the usual crap ones you get

ive been working on the old mk2 getting it ready for when the si comes off the road in july
yesterday me and my mate went over to get sum xr2 parts off it
we got the dash, xr2 rear spolier, suspension, 5 pepper pot alloys, engine bay sound proofing, vented discs and xr2 calipers ,we still gotta get the bodykit off it and rear seats and some more brake stuff like the servo etc
jam (the owner of the xr2) tried his awesome cossie rims on the xr2 just to see what it would look like
2day i slowly managed to get some of the xr2 stuff on the m2 1.1
changed front suspension struts over and fitted xr2 rear spolier
got 3 of the wheels on and didn't get enough time to get the last rear damper in place before it got dark, so that will be done 2morow
heres some pics of it

yea thats me, the cossie rims is my idea on a mk1 with stretched arches....as well as the future for my van (think ive got a problem with them wheels )
well ive got one more thing to try with the van before I go and buy another car, fingers crossed for tomorrow
Bless him, he tried his hardest for me Top bloke though!
Kit should be worth while on your motor, sorta what i want for a run around...cheap, but still decent looking
