my 2003 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 V8 manual :)
Yep ive finally done it and bought my dream car
when i was 12 (15 years ago) i bought the world car guide 1999 and saw a 1999 mustang gt in it and fell in love with it and my dream car has never changed since
ive been on the look out for this particular shape for sometime and after some asking about on the mustang forums a guy from swindon said he had a 2003 mustang gt manual he was looking to sell it, it had only covered 6,900 miles from new and has it imported from atlanta georgia and was a rare manual model, so last saturday i drove down there in the si to take a look and i loved it
Heres some pics of the mustang back in 2003 in atlanta before being exported
the reasons why it had only covered very little miles was the owner was a pilot and he hoped to use the mustang more than what he did but ended up living more in the states than the uk
But it had been left outside unused at a airbase for a long time so mould started growing on it and he decided it was time to sell and let the mustang get used......so i bought it
Its so original its still on the original tyres
heres the pics
When i bought it
Then getting it on my mates truck as it had no tax or mot
Bullitt alloys
interior
It was filthy so before i started work on monday morning i got up early and had to clean it
It passed the mot on tuesday but developed a misfire fire which ended up being cylinder 5 coil pack so i ordered one from my local motor factors for a mg zt 260 as i knew it had the same engine as the mustang and would be easier to find parts for it
Fitted some new 12x6 plates for it although im not sure how legal they are :look:
future plans for it are to lower it and stiffen up the suspension with some bigger sway bars/anti roll bars to you and me and a strut brace altho ive got to be careful with my wallet as 14mpg isnt ideal
and after some practice it does standing still burnouts with ease and it really shifts
Will get some engine bay pics soon
it has criuse control, air conditioning, mach 1, 6 cd auto charger with built in sub, electric windows and mirrors, full leather and remote locking i love it

Love it mate might have to check it out
Got an update on the stang last night my mate looked at the brakes and found that the sliders were dry causing the front brakes to bind so he freed them up and the wheels are nice and free now but the pads are very worn so im going to replace them in a few weeks time
The car feels so much quicker now the brakes are sorted shoild improve my mpg slightly
gave the car a well deserved clean today heres some pics
Also fitted new plates as the anpr camera at work wasnt reading them so thought id best change them
oh and with it being a mustang i couldnt resist but do a burnout lol
Its on youtube heres the link

update on the Mustang
Got in a bit of trouble with the law back in late October for being a holigan...basically i left work and decided to show a mate what the Mustang could do so at a set of traffic lights i decided to smoke it through 1st and into 2nd thinking no more of it....but the stupid thing is...i didnt look in my rear view mirror when i did it and there was a massive marked police van behind me i got tugged and given a warning
Then a month later i went to a paul walker memorial meet in royston cambridge and then we went on a tunnel run with a 2013 Mustang boss 302 and a early 70s chevrolet corvette which was pretty cool...we ended up in southend and i met a few other Mustang owners which was awesome and at 2am i decided to leave there was a lot of people doing burnouts and a load of people saying burnout....i couldnt resist ...and well yeah.... i got caught fined £100 for the reg plates as they didnt meet dvla requirements and had to pay £100 to go on a driver improvement course which was terrible as i only went to this a couple of weeks ago and everyone who was there was there because they crashed badly except me....burnout
Anyway the Mustang it needed new brake pads so i bought and set fitted them and then realised the wheel wouldnt move...i out the old ones back on and spoke to a american car specialist down the road from me and a common fault with the calipers on the 99-04 mustangs where they distort and would need replacing...got a few prices and thought whats the point on getting standard ones...so i spent £500 on a full ford Mustang cobra front brake set up with braided hoses
they feel sooo much better
Also have got some cj pony 1.5" lowering springs about 38mm to you and i, do should get the stang sitting nicely also the Mustangs are hard to get the alignment back in spec after lowering so i also bought some camber castor plates to solve this...havent fitted any of them yet but hopefully within the next month
Also bought new tyres all round as the old ones were 12 years old and perishing badly so i thought id do a few more burnouts and get my burnouts worth out of them down a quiet industrial estate with no cops in site this time
in the snow this week
im not using it as my daily anymore but using it at weekends/special occasions as i cant afford to really
