if i remember rightly he parked up...and then ten minutes later the whole thing was in flames....electrical fault IIRC :-?

This is an old post.. all damage done to the 2i and not the FRST...

the xr2i fire was an electrical fire that gutted the car when Tony was in doors

Correct. One night whilst chatting on MSN, Tony disappeared mid sentance with the words "FCUK FCUK FCUK"

About half an hour later, he returns with the same words, and continues to explain that his 2i caught fire :( The firemen put it out obviously, but had to force open the bonnet to shut the alarm up, which was still going off whilst the car was on fire, and even when the fire had been extinguished. :lol:

Cause of fire: electrical fault :(

we were just bloody lucky it didn't happen when we were on the way back from Southend :o neither of us would be here now...
