My day with the fez

What a drama ,

I've owned my car since June and it's a lovely car to drive even more so with the power delivery produced from the t3 set up I've just completed, any how's I still can't get the car to hold charge .

So today I began the process of removing the interior loom it's self as it's in a bad way and now it's worse as the ignition relay has kicked its arse out!! and Ohhh my god !. What a piss about I thought the interior loom was only plugged into the engine loom ... Didn't quite expect to have to take the whole flipping thing out lol, I managed 2 hours before the cold made me back go stiff!. Engine loom is stripped out just got to thread it through the bulk head hole!

The engine loom is really tatty! Broken clips , tatty wires, bodged bullet connections that are green in side, half the connections are to be frank ... Fubar,

I also noticed that on the ignition switch the yellow wire was half hanging out of the junction block that actually connects to the loom ? Could this be causing a problem? And the blue wire from the alt had been cut and bodged together with a different type of wire then re connected to the other end if the blue wire ???

Hope to find a decent ofab loom after crimbo ,

Any one else been playing cars today?

I've just typed in ofab on eBay and the loom looks half the size of mine, have I been oblivious to the connection block between interior and exterior loom? As mine looks as if its just one complete loom

Most cars now will have had the blue alt wire repaired at some point as they do suffer over the years. And as for the yellow wire if it hasn't been getting a good connection then yes it will cause problems. just make sure all connections are good and if possible where wires are joined solder the connectors for a good join.
