haha drove into soem flood water up Holmelacy which was deeper than I thought and it just took it off. Found it just now chewed to peices. FRST bonnet vents must work as thats where the steam was pouring from

adamski frst :yes only cost £140 all in which IMO was worth it
That seems a very good price considering the amount you've had done

went to pod today if thats news best of the day was a 13.0 @111mph due to 3 bollox starts, was trying to use my launch control but the marshels are in such a rush to get you lined up and go that i didnt really get time for it.... anyway maybe next time i'll give some normal starts not using the launch control. BUT seen as its my first time ever up pod i think i did ok...
(incidently saw another 2 ecossie's running one got a 13.4 the other only ran a 16.5 )
couple of things that wont have helped is it seems my water injection isn't kicking in now i shall need to speak to mark about that. Really need to sort my breather system and few other bits too but for now got alot on so will probably all be done in a major overhaul ....
replace all my new parts in 1 maybe... overall tho i should have run mid 12's today but with a few things tweeked and changed i should think next time i run i should be hoping for regular 12's

It sounds like you have some potential there Launch control, and simply driving on a strip like Santa Pod isn't something you get right first time by any means, and I know what you mean about marshalls hurrying everyone through! Not good about the water injection, but it's definitely showing promise if it's running a 13.0 with only three runs Pretty healthy terminals, so a good start should certainly see you scrabbling at mid-12s

check my bad by not checking this ,
ANT- nice pics mate, let me see the vid too
JAMES- yes there is real potential to be made, i am already in the plans of 1 fitting a water inj switch so i can turn it on when i want anyway and also will be removing the inner headlights ducting them and getting A+H to make a custom air box to duct direct air frm outside straight into the turbo therefore solving some of the heat soak from the engine bay
Atif- cheers huny
Sphinx- the splitter's have been off for ages due to me having them redone, they are ready to go back on but due to me having my rad checked as there is a leak having Ah's new intercooler fitted and the bumper needing a respray i have not bothered refitting them yet
ghost- suck it u slut
And just for the general knowledge, i have now fitted rs500 grills and i am reverting back to amber ind's in the bumper to break up the front of the car
so within the next few months will be a few changes going on and also i have ideas for a new manifold and turbo swap possibly

ok just thought i'd pop a little update on the car, having driveshaft issues atm for some reason the nearside inner joint keeps going this is my third shaft now .... so i am resorting to the major changes to solve this....
in a month the car will be booked in gonna have the sump removed, my big wing sump fitted with a new bearing and shaft, my breather system fitted, my powdercoated crossmember with adjustable arms and vibratechnic mounts, along with mike R spec coilovers....
So fitting all this should sort my problem also while the front diff is off for the sump i may fit the diff plate i have .... this should put me back working with a nice setup...
the boot is stripped atm too due to spoiler rubbing and is booked in next week for the boot and spoilers to be fixed and resprayed.... my colour coded rocker is fitted , STILL waiting on my carbon (insert ghey rap term) after what seems like years!
Next i am considering taking the car off the road in a few months time stripping the underside getting it all done by my mate along with having some seam welding, ADJ top mounts for the front, rear strut brace welded in and some rust sorting .... all in plans just now need to decide what i want done get the top mounts to have steel bosses made to weld on the front. considering having mounts on the back too as my friend offered that too ...
will update with pics soon

Bummer about the driveshafts giving up Where are they failing? Definitely best undersealing it all now, leave it another year and you'll have more tidying up to do before you can get as far as getting underseal onto it all.

its the near side inner joint that keeps failing i have had a few ideas thrown at me why it could be happening , but after i have done 3 joint in a row its starting to get slightly annoying just now, so i'm goin to town on it
some pics of the state its in atm car goes in tomorrow for the boot etc to be done possibly gonna get them to sort my roof rail that was leaking too so i can take the tape off the roof ...
by next week anyway the back end should be looking a touch nicer....And just wish my carbon bits would arrive that i have been waiting 6 months for
then the car will not be doing much now till it goes in for the sump off balls of a job ...

ok been a short while the car has been off and had the boot redone and come back looking lush IMO
then to this!!!!
also something which may or maynot be to peoples liking i have as you may have noticed removed the inner morette as tbh i never useed them and wanted to gain more cool air.... So after a few hours of hassle and ordered online i managed to get some air ducts get them powder coated black and then literally CHOP the morette's and bond the ducts in there
to give this.......
Not the best pics but heres a pic from the petrol station tonight...
Also my carbon has arrived  thanks for the wait mike R .... fitted the plug cover for now looks nice... going to get my cam pulleys changed for my piper items them fit the carbon cam belt cover...
also got my defi's arrive and quickly fitted them up, after getting hassle from paul R i fitted the controller in the centre console i think they look nice... just need to install the sensors next i have a racetec 2.5BAR boost guage to finish off my A pillar pod, and also thinking of buying another guage to finish the DIN pod...
So next on my agenda is i have Mike R spec coilovers arriving VV shortly, i will be taking the car in and taking 1 of 2 routes??
1- this will be dropping the engine fitting my breather items, fitting the sump, cross member with vibra mounts and adj TCA's.... BUT i wanted to fit a new oil pump while the engine was out but COSWORTH have no pumps there all on back order...... also at this point i was considering stripping the underside and letting my bodyshop mate loose on it refurbing the lot and spraying the underside in ''speedliner''...
2. this would be changing most of the above but leaving the sump till the new oil pumps arrive!? and getting some of my rust sorted and maybe come back to the underside later!?
either way i am off for MOT 2moro, so i will be going over to my mates and get him to price up the jobs i want and intend on doing then take it from there....
for the eagle eye'd ones of you my lower grill ducts have been powder coated black, i have some amber bumper ind's here to go on too... just tempted to have my bumper repainted before i refit the splitters and etc
cheers Ad

Prob just the pic, but the rear pillars look a different colour when going from boot to car
I'd want the least amount of spraying possible so I wouldn't have the bumper done, but I know you've had other bits sorted so it's too late now!
Get that splitter on!!

well after paying jamie a visit today and getting a fresh MOT, we have decided our route! were going to strip the rear end of the car to the gearbox, he is going to do the sills right to the front do all the rear end work involving seam welding, weld in strut brace, turret strengthing and speedlinging the underside to the gearbox.... then rebuild it and money depending we MAY drop the engine and strip the front end and do the mods up there .... If not i'll hold back and save up till i can afford it then do it. BUT the rear will be done over the next few months..
watch this space!

thanks guys
thought you may have heard of them james, danny welds a special designed bar that goes from the front chassis to the rear on a ramp then paints it over then lowers it back down and it stiffens up the chassis and give better road handling Mike R and Franco and a few other have had it done with very positive results and not too expensive either so i am getting it done before jamie has the car.. The suspension is now made for Mike R through the people that worked for leda they setup there own business mine is the 2nd set to come as i let someone else have the first set that i was promised as they were more rushed than me ... Mike assures me they are supreme if not he'll change them! They certainly look to be very well made!!! they also have a few newer ideas on them too Mike has the same spec ones (but these have better valves) on his and wont use anything else... put it like this i wasn't paying 3k for some ohlins
heeman10 :They look mighty sexy, not Ledas are they? What do you mean by "chassis bars"?
