What sort of camber are you running on the front end? Might pay to give it something like 2-3 degrees negative to help the turn in problems. As for tyres, Dunlpo do a pretty good track day tyres, the SSR, although the smallest size i can think of seeing is 215/45/ZR17, maybe fit ok depending on the arches?

went to redline rumble at santa pod yesterday.
steve n managed to get renton (redline mag) to put me into god of the pod comp. done two rubbish runs, and got knocked out by rkd tunin skyline in the quarter finals, with his 10.4 run.
I ran on full boost(30psi), but heat soak caused mega power loss, as didnt feel no faster than on 20psi on road, so turned boost down slightly, but need to sort positioning of charge temp sensor.
also i had troubles with launchin it, nothin to do with car just me.
even still managed two 11.1@ 123 on 27psi.
thanks to steve n, redline mag, my bro and mates.
was abit pissed not gettin into 10's, but still improvements to be made.

Hello mate!
Good times again - shame that you were having heat soak problems, hopefully you can get it sorted soon!
I don't know if you noticed me or not (I think you did!) but I saw you on the way to Santa Pod that day. I was the bloke in the merc grey FRST (I also spoke to you at Lydden Hill at Rallycross earlier this year).
Anyway - got a couple of vids of your motor here mate

Hi mate - not ZVH but I've got a 1900CVH tall block.
I was suffering from a bit of a misfire but I hope to get that sorted soon - I'll have to try and get to Santa Pod next time you're going!
I won't try and convoy with you though - I think I'd be holding you up!
You downloaded the vids above?

- Your car: Ford Fiesta of course!
went to Bruntingthorpe with passionford, redline mag and fast ford.
for totb qualifier's
done 4 runs b4 the turbo seals lets go,
but even with the heat (26+ ambients) and a head/side wind, managed
With my brother in passenger seat for first 2 runs. werent to hard on the start. and full fuel tank
0-60 3.32 & 3.35
0-100 7.52 and 7.58
0-150 21.52
1/4 11.56 and 11.3 @ 122+mph
168.4 mph and 166.9 mph
just me in car and Datron timin gear.
0-60 3.04 twice
0-100 6.88 & 6.91
0-150 18.92 and 19.1
1/4 11.1 at 124 twice
169.6 mph and 166mph wen turbo gave up.
1.25 mile in 35.46 @ 168.2 mph
all 4 runs back to back. runnin full boost, but did seem abit slow in top 2 gears, with the wind pushin the car side to side alot, like it was hooverin.
good day.
i was fastest on accelration stuff, and 4th on top speed, top was 174mph i think, done by a 550bhp 3 dr 2wd sierra

Hey Dan,
How's it going with the fix on the turbo?
I know what you mean about the side-wind at Brunters that day, I only took mine to just past 120 but at the far end of the circuit past the trees either side you could really feel the sidewinds, Alex and Faye said it was off-putting as well!
Cheers,
Andy

just got back on the road this mornin at 7.40am, at 8.15am i was signin on at lydden, half trackday.
done alrite, but mega under steer probs, due to not havein time to put negitive camber on.
run it at 25psi,
the new turbo is slightly bigger ex housin, and comp wheel. it spools up the same but, but got abit of surge now.

opps.
alittle up date. since last post,
Turbo dynamics sorted me a refund for the md240r, as we could stop it blowin the wastegate open due to the extreme back pressure problems due to the small internal exhaust housing.
I've got a new AET gt30 turbo which should give me about 50 bhp and lb/ft than the old MD240r. it's got the same compressor housing and comp wheel, but is runnin a 0.82 exhaust housin (instead of the 0.63 of MD240r).
i blew the R+D dog box up goin into 2nd gear at USC in august.
i striped the box last week, and now got all the needed parts (£1200) comin tomorrow, so i can rebuild.
i'm lookin to reach my target of the magic 10 sec 1/4 @ 130 mph before the end of the year. its taken 2 years and alot of work, and even more problems etc.

You don't think you can gain much on the launch? Oh dear Dan You know Hoosiers on all four corners would give you a sub 2.5 second 0-60 time and a 9 second quarter Let us know how the rebuild goes
