Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
water injection system all plumbed in now
new showplate, motorbike size
tyre finally fitted on my new 5th azev alloy
had some new stainless vin tags made up
wasn't best impressed with all the surface scratches
but after a polish on the wheel at work they came up as new
picked this up off ebay the other week, a old spec-r alley brake master cylinder reservoir, i think there very rare these days, it origionally ran abs and the holes have been welded up but i've been asured it's a striaght fit onto a non abs brake master cylinder
this is how it arrived
welds ground down just needs a final polish at work
few pics of the fiesta at the rsoc central day

Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
update
i'm in the process of collecting parts to convert my fiesta to run air injectors, proper wrc technology because i run a ex wrc cosworth p8 ecu it was always a extra i could add on to the car, no extra mapp needed
here's the bits so far
air injector loom
brand new bosch air injectors
i've just ordered the RS Cosworth twin air injector alloy mounting bracket all CNC machined which should come through early part of next week, then ill need some high pressure festo connections and vacum lines, but parts are coming together now

Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
air injectors all mocked up
new fittings sourced, look really smart
changed my mind about the vacume lines and decided to run some metal braided lines for the air injector and also ordered some finishing joints too, air injectors have been turned round in the body so they face the bleed blank, loom plugged in so should be all ready to go
everything all working now, just needs a tweek to the engine map and see what boost levels we can get away with running

Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
fiesta has been at the painters/welders since fordfair, it’s been in there for 2 main jobs the first was to have the inner/outer/floor sill joint completely cut off all the way along the drivers side( the other side was all done a few years ago) which once we got into it was a bit more involved than we first thought but pleased to say it’s all done, super impressed with the blokes work, the bodykit that had to be removed has been repainted, it was really overdue to be done had loads of cracks in it which I’ve known for some time but wasn’t worth doing it before as I knew it would need doing when everything was stripped off to do the sill anyway
galvonised sill
the other job it’s in there for is a mod to the scuttle panel, I’m having the extra wiper hole welded up and smoothed over, also found a company who can supply me a new heated windscreen which we are putting in as well, not sure how differcult to wire in but I’m sure it can’t be too hard
quile it's been away I've sourced another s/h bailey header tank and swirl pot, both needed a bit of a refurb but I've done this oat work, removed loads of gouges and deep scratches in the metal and a good machine polish
after

the goudges were sanded out and machined polished out at work, part of my work is a metal polished of brass and silver items so I can use it for personal bits as well

Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
small update
popped down to check on the rs earlier this week, , the old windscreen is out now which is still in one piece which will be going into my daily runaround and my new flash heated screen has arrived, looks totally awesome, the windscreen channel on the whole is in very good condition, think I was expecting the worse but was plesently surprised, the spare wiper arm hole will be cut out and a new piece fabricated and smoothed, hopfully won't be much longer before it arrives back home again

Re: my fiesta rs turbo(fast ford featured)
right heated screen is here now, looks the nuts, small bit of rot in both bottom corners of the scuttle but concidering the age it's not that bad I think I was expecting a lot worse, I've somehow come across on ebay a heated windscreen loom from a fiesta rs1800, with relays, switches looks in really good nik too, I've never seen these advertised before so I think I was very lucky to come across it, I've been down to the painters today and all the rot has been cut out, new metal lip fabricated and wiper hole has been cut out and smoothed off, I really like this mod, makes it look quite standard, I guess that the mark of a great fabricator

cheers matey, long time, really can't wait to get it back now, the fabrication skills of my painter is amazing, it looks like it was always ment to be that way, but it should be back this week at some point then I need to work out how the screen connects up, having the proper loom should really help just not sure where abouts it all plugs in yet

Best way to get a new screen and the insurance job it will only cost you £25 you will be paying £200 or thereabouts if you source one yourself

only if you had a heated screen in there before, I had a screen replaced through the insurance by autoglass and they wouldn't put a heated screen in there, just like for like
