Good old student loan!
I will make sure the other one goes to a good home. Will be sad to see it go but this was just too good an oppertunity to miss!
Will have money again when it is sold too!

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (update 12/4/10-CHANGE OF PLAN!)
Thanks alot mate
Been buying a few bits and pieces for her over the past couple of weeks, nothing major, just a few things I wanted to make her exactly how i want for the show season this summer.
Expecting a couple of things in the post over the next couple of days then will put some pics up to show what I have got
Really looking forward to driving her this summer as after all this money and work on rst's over the past year or so I've never actually driven one more than a few hundred yards!
Roll on ford fair!

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (update 12/4/10-CHANGE OF PLAN!)
Well, its update time!
I have a long list of plans/things I want to do to my new RS before ford fair and as I was at home yesterday, I started by doing a couple of things to get the ball rolling. Not much really, just cosmetic but every little helps!
Firstly I changed to orange indicators at the front as I hate the look of the clears on rst's. Will be doing the side repeaters too but not got round to that yet.
I then put in my standard parcel shelf rather than the "stealth shelf" that came with the car which I dont like the look of and wouldnt use anyway.
I then got rid of the gash gearknob and gaitor the car came with and put on my standard gearknob and gaitor I have.
Finally, I put in my standard ford radio (the car didnt come with any radio) which I won on ebay the other day and am delighted about!
Anyway, here are the pics of how she is now:
Comments welcome!

Lol, I feel so lucky. I never stop thanking my parents for buying a house with such an awesome garage attached!
They keep saying to me that I have stolen it off them but I just pretend I didn't hear them!

Need to buy some 5mm spacers first and also want to paint the drums black and calipers gold as they are all silver atm.
Really looking forward to finally seeing her with the comps on when its all done tho!
Got a huge list of things I want to do before ford fair too!

Looks lovely, Radiant Red FRST's always look nice - orange indicators look great too, as does the original grey interior.

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (update 2/5/10-*Work Starts!*)
Its not worth getting the centre caps on as the car will just be sat under the car cover until I swap the wheels over anyway. Will keep them safe and unscratched for the future
And yes I finally managed to get a standard frst gearknob, am soooo happy. Only took me a year!

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (update 6/7/10-*Progress*)
Update time!
Well, sice finishing uni i have been doing bits and pieces on the rs to get her ready for the MOT and then ford fair. When I bought her she was 90% complete from a full rebuild and just needed the last bits and pieces doing to finish her off.
So far I have done the following:
fitted fuel filter
fitted correct ford badges
fitted new dealership registration plates
fitted a new foglight bulb which wasnt working
got the horn working
fitted rear anti roll bar
painted rear drums black rather than silver
got electric boot release and back wiper working
got washer jets working
fitted rs tax disc holder
torqued up suspension bolts
got bonnet catch working
fitted standard headlight and sidelight bulbs
adjusted the handbrake
fitted spring clips on calipers
fitted chrome bonnet stay
fitted new header tank
fitted wind deflectors
fitted mk3.5 mirrors
fitted spare wheel
Thats all I can remember, there is probs more tho
Anyway, here are some pics of the progress:
Trial fitted a comp:
Let me know what you think
