Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project(*UPDATE 31/12/10 - ENGINE IN!*)
Right then, time for another update
Got loads more done on her yesterday. First up I built up the new shocks and springs, then fitted them, along with the drive shafts, new CV boots, spindle carriers and new suspension arms.
As well as this, I got all of the coolant hoses connected up and also connected up the gear linkages.
Really pleased with the progress.
Here are some pics:
Let me know what you think

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (*UPDATE 19/4/11 - RUNNING!*)
Big update!
After working solidly on her for the past week, she is finally on all four wheels and as of last night, the engine is up and running too!
Extremely happy with the progress and its very close to being finished now, after 2 years off the road!
Will let the pics do the talking:
Caliper brackets, front ARB brackets and battery clamp back to bare metal:
And painted:
Clutch cover plate fitted:
Zorst, track rod ends, front ARB with polybushes and brakes fitted:
Wheels on:
On the ground:
All ancilliaries fitted to engine:
Next is interior back in along with a few other bits and pieces
Let me know what you think

The charge carrier on it has the dump valve take off welded on, but I have blocked it off due to selling it without a dump valve fitted

Re: My Fiesta RS Turbo project (*UPDATE 03/05/11 - FINISHED!*)
Update time
After a hell of alot of work and time spent in the garage, as of Saturday just gone, she is now completely finished and ready to be driven off by the new owner
Passed the MOT with flying colours last Wednesday then just had to sort the tracking out and a few other bits and bobs, but then had trouble getting the tracking done as it turned out the motor factors had supplied me with the wrong track rod ends so they woudnt screw on to the rack far enough to prevent the front wheels towing in
Got that sorted on saturday tho and now all is done!
Took her for a spin to see how she was running once the tracking had been done and the boooooost addiction came back in an instant
Anyway, I hope the new owner is pleased with the result
Here are some finished pics:
Interior back in:
Washed and polished:
