Hi jamie,

Yeah i felt quite good to go for a spin yesterday. Brother has still got his one also, his is just sat in the garage as well out of the elements ready for some nice weather to come along.

I am indeed selling the actuator, its curreently set at 15-16 psi as thats what i had my FRST running at. Will get some pics for ou later if your interested.

Also do you know of anyone who wants a complete cosworth brakes set up for their fieta? Because im taking them off today.

Gareth.

Whats your brother got as a daily driver?

Yea get some pics up, might be interested. Have been spending lots on the car this week. Mine is peaking at 13.5 and holding 11.

Already have a cossie setup on mine, but i'm sure they will go quick enough on here.

Heres a small update. This afternoon i got the cosworth brakes off & have set the actuator to standard 7 psi boost. :Q The car currently has no calipers on the front this is because to fit the cosworth brakes you have to open out the bolt holes for the calipers, therefore next weekend i shall be fitting new standard hubs to the car so i can then fit the standard brake calipers to them as it should be. :)

Only other thing i done was fit the rsd FRST bumper just so its out the way & wont get damaged then i can remove it again to get the bumper sprayed the correct colour.

Heres some pics:

Wont be doing anything on it tomorrow as i have to fix the b reg & fit my new scorpion exhaust :Q

JAY - The acnhor bolts are a tiny bit bigger than the original ones, i think its quite common to open out the bolt holes a tiny amount.

Tiller - the actuator is for the T" turbo. Not sure if will a t25 etc?

Jamie - TBH ive never liked the momo arrows these wheels were on my brothers FRST when he bought it & the only reason their on mine at the mo is because the threes didnt go over the brakes. But the standard wheels will be back on next wekend. :Q :D

Any one want these brakes as well? i have a thread in the forsale section £150.

Gareth.

Hi chaps,

WEll has a day off today so thought i would make the most of the nice weather and crack on with a few jobs on the FRST.

Changes my front hubs round so I could fit the original brake again :D

Got the standard wheels on the front now as well which im well chuffed with & also dug out my standard air box and fitted that one as well. All in all a good days progress.

Things left to do now are :

Fit the standard wheels to the rear.
Bleed the front brakes
Get bumper sprayed.
Rolling roiad set up

More updates as and when.

well im not to sure what to do with it atm. I certainly wont be buying a focus rs because the mortgage is the main priority atm. Im tempted to put it on the road this year and have some enjoyment from it maybe have it up for sale during the summer? If some one offers the correct money then maybe have to let it go, will be bloody hard though. ive owned it for ages now.

Gareth.

p.s you still got your puma? We have one now aswell - great cars :D

Update 18.05.09

Done a bit more work on the car, no pics im afraid.

Bleed the brakes, got the three spokes on the back now aswell :Q Today i painted my calipers & hubs. One annoying thing is after bleeding the brakes i went for a spin to check i had a good pedal (which i have) but the rear left centre cap has come off and dispite driving back around to see if i could find it and walking the same route the next day it appears to have vanished! Must have flung off in a field and a cow has made off with it lol. Just my luck.

But to put that little problem right i had a look on the bay, just so happen'ed to be one on there which ended tonight and i won it :D So that should be arriving this week.

Now i will be getting the bumper sprayed, after that tax and off to the rollers to get it set up. :D :) :Q . In the mean time if anyone is selling a 165 chip i will be interested.

Quite excited now because after doing nothing with it for the whole of last year the finish is now insight. My ultimate aim is go to Ford Fair with it this year and convoy up with my brother in his FRST. :Q

Ok not much happended here lately.

But I can confirm that it wont be long now untill my FRST is going in the classifieds  :(

I have dropped the bumper into the body shop to be sprayed so that should be back sometime this week. As soon as thats fitted I will be taking it for M.O.T which I would like to have done next week really. Then off to Plymouth to have a thorough set up - then thats it, for sale.

Going to be a massive shame to see the car but Ive made my mind up now. :(

Basically there are two reasons :

1. I just dont use the car and it stays in the Garage: &

2. I could do with the money to get a few urgent jobs done on the house.

If I had enough capital already then for sure I would not sell, but needs must ATM.

I know that day someone picks it up I will regret it & knowing me I will start hankering after another one, just as I did when I sold my old Black xr2....

dont be hasty mate, my rs sits in the garage and it doesnt get used, its taxed mot'ed, and insured and i pay £30 a month to rent the garage, and i'll be honest, its money that could be better used else where, but, i will never sell my RS, and its always there for when i wanna go for a drive, even though the battery that hasnt seen a 1000 miles on the car since new is now fcuked

as for the jobs round the house, theres always another way to get them done/get the money, after all, say the car didnt sell for 3 months, what about the jobs round the house..., if they can be left till the RS sells, they can be left till you get money from else where surly

and if you know you will regret it once its sold, then think long and hard if you really need to / want to sell it mate
would be a shame to see it go though mate, more so at the min with christmas round the corner and with the crunch and all, people dont wanna seem to pay the money for things that are worth it
