My Fiesta RST up for breaking - updated list on pg5!
Hello all,
As most of you know I'm going to be breaking my Fiesta over this Christmas period as I need to free up some money for my business.
The prices I'm listing against the parts below don't include postage and packaging and I haven't actually started stripping the car down yet so the parts won't be available. If you put your name down for something then I'll let you know when I hope to get it off the car and will let you know when it's off the car so we can arrange payment etc.
I'll keep a list of people who are 2nd, 3rd in the queue for bits so if someone drops out they will then be offered the part(s).
Some of the parts will obviously be cost inhibitive for sending so will be collection only (in particular - the shell!).
Also I'm on the scrounge for standard mk3 Fiesta suspension (doesn't matter from what car) so that I can sell the shell off as a rolling shell as I'd like to sell my coilovers seperately.
Without further ado, here's the list (so far):
- Chrome rocker cover - £90
- Bailey alloy header tank - £80 - SOLD to twistedtomo
- Bailey oil breather and fitting kit - £60 - SOLD to MixonFRST
- Samco ERST boost hose kit (minus top boost hose but will include top standard FRST boost hose) in blue - £55
- AVO adjustable coilovers - £280 - IanFRST, ballin
- OMP strut brace - £20 - IanFRST, DanS2i, NU773R
- 4 x 15" League Katana wheels in very good condition and very good 195/50 Yokohama AVS tyres - £180
- CTS (Bernie) stage 2 ERST gearbox (less than 5k old) with Quaife ATB - standard ratios - £550 - SOLD to J7AOC
- Alcon 6 paddle clutch (only 6 full on launches carried out with this clutch and a few thousand miles of normal use) - £150 - xrsi?, fiesta_fras
- Audioscape doorpods (in grey - for mk3s) - £80 - sold to reisskahn
- Mocal oil cooler, thermoblock, connectors (just requires hoses) - never used! £50 - sold to Project XR2i Trackcar
- Revotec Oil pressure gauge with sender (requires T-connection to connect where OE oil pressure switch connects - this is available from Burton Power) - £35 - sold to DaveBlives
- Revotec Oil temperature gauge with sender (1/8" NPT connection - replaces sump plug) - £30 - sold to XR_Craig
- Carbon fibre effect 3 pod mount (for mounting in the middle of the dashboard top - will require a little bit of modification to fit on a mk3/3.5 dash) - £10 - sold to Xr Dub
- XR2i radiator - £15 - sold to TonyBlackFRST
- Pro-alloy front mount intercooler (including connnecting hoses) - sold to Andy B.
- Samco coolant hose kit for FRST - modified slightly for connection to XR2i radiator - £70 - Superal
- 280mm Sierra 4x4 front brakes (discs, calipers and pads - used but still in good condition) - £100 - SOLD to MixonFRST
- FRST shell with log book, tailgate, glass, undersealed all over except boot floor - could do with a tidy up on the boot floor and rear valance lip but nothing major - very clean for a mk3 Fez! Shell was resprayed in 2004 in Mercury Grey. Arches were cut back (to fit Escort Cosworth 16x8" rims and tyres) and welded up during the time it was in the bodyshop - £300 - SOLD to SilentStu
- FRST bonnet (smoothed at front - has small crack in front from an incident involving a lack of bloody brace for bonnet latch!) - sold to SilentStu
- FRST interior, (Recaro's, rear bench & door cards minus pockets) in relatively good condition, driver's seat has bolster wear and previous owner has left some burn marks on the seating, generally in good nick - £200 - provisionally sold to DaveROM
- A-pillar boost gauge pod (mk3 - grey) - £10 - sold to IanFRST
- FRST steering wheel, could do with a clean up but stitching is all intact - £10 - sold to IanFRST
- Turbo Technics Stage 3 T3 hybrid turbo, .48 exhaust housing rated up to 28psi/250bhp with plenty of warranty left, very little mileage on the car - £300 - sold to Andy B.
- ERST exhaust manifold for use with T3 - £25
- SPAL fan (higher CFM than standard FRST fan) - £30 - sold to IanFRST
- RS2000 rear disc conversion - mostly new parts bought from Ford (only original parts used were the calipers which were refurbed before fitting), including RS2000 handbrake cable - £100 - 1st: heeman10, 2nd: rsboy82, 3rd: NU773R
- Mongoose 2.5" exhaust system (modified to connect up to the ERST manifold, 4" rolled out round tailpipe (sits very nicely in the standard rear bumper recess) - has flexi joint to prevent cracking/loosening with hard launches - £180
- Vibratechnics gearbox mounts - £25 - sold to IanFRST
- Genuine Ford mk3/3.5 headlight protectors in good condition - £20 - sold to Andy B.
- R&B motorsport blue LCD ACT gauge with wiring and sender - requires a thread to be tapped into an EFI inlet manifold - £30 - sold to Superal
- mk3/3.5 smoked rear light clusters, European spec (swapped reverse/fog light) - £50 - sold to XR_Dub
- Revotec boost gauge with pipe - £20 - sold to ~nomad~
- RamAir large Cossie cone filter - £30 - sold to Andy B.
Also with regards to the engine I'd ideally like to see it sold as a whole package to someone else (would be nice to see someone up and running with it - ultimately to see how it performs for them and whether they can improve on the quarter mile times I've put down so far) so that would be complete lump with throttle body, engine loom, sensors and mapped ECU and I may do a deal on the turbo & manifold to go with the engine if any potential buyers would like. Or I could split the engine and management as long as I know it's all going to sell.
Engine spec is:
- Specialised Engines stage 2 1900cc American Tall Block bottom end - £1200
- FRST head polished and port-matched, Kent CVH34 camshaft - £120 - MFkev, gar mae, NU773R (if engine is split)
- Cosworth throttle body modified for use with CVH inlet manifold - £50
- CVH inlet manifold with standard fuel rail fitted with 4 Bosch 803 dark green injectors, machined down PTE manifold with Ford instead of EFI logo - £220
- L8 ECU loom with all sensors modified for use on CVH engine, including alternator bracket (to fit Weber Marelli CPS), modified lower pulleys (trigger for CPS), Cossie coil, ignition amplifier, genuine Weber 3bar MAP sensor all fitted courtesy of Gadget. - £300
- Lancia Delta style camshaft sensor bracket, sensor and trigger pulley setup courtesy of Jano Oddkid at Oddkid Creations - £50
- L8 ECU with baby board fully mapped on the engine by Ahmed Bayjoo at Grove Garage (mapped for 20psi so c. 230/240bhp) - £250
- ERST AMAL valve wired to switch between low/high boost (10/20psi when actuator is set on the turbo correctly) - £30
Complete engine with management, sensors (all of the above) and left with Chrome rocker cover and Felpro head gasket will be sold for 2200 - no offers!
Have one potential buyer for the engine at the moment - cabby
This engine works ideally with a typical stage 3 hybrid T3 Turbo (.48 exhaust housing, 360 degree bearings, cut back blades etc.) which I have a virtually brand new one of (for sale in the list above) so if you're interested in buying the complete engine, turbo, manifolds, loom, ECU, injectors and ancillaries then let me know and we can discuss a price. Needless to say this whole lot would cost ALOT of money to buy seperately so I will not be taking silly offers on it. The engine and transmission setup in my Fiesta (partly stripped out) achieved a 0-60 of 6.1s and quarter mile time of 14.43 @101mph or so - this wasn't indicative of how quick the car is though as I was having problems with the original camshaft sensor setup and Turbo (which is why there is the new Oddkid camshaft sensor and TT stage 3 Turbo for sale!) so I'd reckon you're looking at a mid to high 13s quarter and sub 6 second 0-60 time with the better components If you're looking for a shortcut to having a genuinely fast fwd Ford then PM me
Whatever doesn't sell from here I'll be sticking on eBay.
Cheers,
Andy

It's a thermoblock jobby, replaces the standard modine cooler.
The clutch is worth 350 or so new, not the cheaper ones which don't come with the genuine Alcon cover

PM's sent to those who've PMd me
I'll get pics of the oil temp gauge for you later dude.
The oil cooler would be best mounted in the driver's side wheel arch up behind the front panel although people have managed to mount them between the bumper and front panel on the driver's side (see dannyboy's picture post of his progress).
Let Gav know about the Mongoose exhaust, I thought he had one already! I'll stick his name against it for now...
Cheers,
Andy
Superal :can i have pics of the oil temp guage?

RSTFusty :do you have a standard or uprated actuator mate ??
Actuator is uprated item as it's brand new with the T3 turbo. (well a few months old and less than 1k of use).
I will not be splitting it from the turbo.
Cheers,
Andy

Whoa - alot of response from you guys.
To make things easier for me and fairer for you would it be ok if you just put up what you want on here? If you've got more detailed questions about stuff then PM me but I am finding it hard to keep up with who was first for stuff as I have to check between this post and my PMs!
Cheers,
Andy

reisskahn :Superal :well thats all the stuff i wanted gone already
Thats all the main things gone lol, but pm'd
good luck breaking it and how come u r breaking it?
I've sent you a PM back mate!
As for the reasons why I'm breaking it - I've had the car for over 2 and a half years now and am getting bored with it plus I need to get some of the money I've ploughed into it back as I'm embarking on a business venture that requires liquid assets! There was nothing wrong with the car before splitting apart from a dodgy ISCV.
Cheers,
Andy
