its been a lon while since ive updated this,,

ill do a quick update
after the car spending a year on the drive with lack of job, i puled it out and gave i the works, and resorected her once again,,


re did my white stripe,
before



then gave it a good clean,,






i then did an engine change replacing the tired old one for a nice brand new one,, drove streight to amsterdam once i got it running, and the day after i cam back, this happened,,


so rebuilt it again,


also added more white to the car, allthough the front splitter is ianted up again,, it cracked on the ramps,,



and afer a month of driving in the rebuilt engine,, i then had it die on me, so thought sod it and ripped it out,,






and this is how i got as of yesterday cos soon as i got in to upload them photos the snow came in, so my car is blanketed

Shame about the engine! I think all the white is a bit OTT. Colour code it all instead, will look alot smarter So would silver wheels too i think. BUT, its your car so its upto you what you do lol.

well ive had these rims now 6 years, and theve been on all my fiestas,,

its either red or white spoiler, but the fog surounds definatly going white,,

also i think the white makes it stand out from other fiestas,, i,e no one else i know has currently restripped it white,,
all i have done is colourcode the bumpstrips, and the swage line in the kit,, allthough the rest of the car is standard,, ive revised the overall looks to make it more up to date with modern styling,, bearing in mind the st is red n white,, its not an st, but then its not an xr2i anymore,, its more thurough bred ford lol

anywho, ive also got 2 vr6 splitters,, one black, and one im going to smooth in to a spare bumper,, and ive alsp got an mcr spare bumer to use,, all with fogs, so i can mix and match how i please

only takes 20 minutes to do a bumper change

engine bay is looking gleaming after ceaning every single area i could find, in the holes under the bottom the lot,, looks beautiful with all the nice shiny redness,

i have since started painting things white here and there,, ive got everything bar exhaust downpipe, and cambelt and w-pump,, of which ill be picking up today,, and ill be getting it all sorted ready for throwing back in

its a case of throwing it in, and seeing what problems ill get because im almost certain it should go in nice and easy, well heres to hoping lol

the council have goten used to me now, and ued be suprised at how many passers by stop to see what yourup to,,

students parking is an issue around here and all the time the old bill come taking pictures,, not what i want lol, a build of an engine on record

theres only 3 more things going white, mirrors, spot light casings and the water pipes,,

it makes me smile when the old boys come snooping,, envying you for being so young and doing more to a car than they where ever cos, they couldnt even afford them haha,,

so ive been thinking once this is done, im selling all of my spares and moving out,, so i was making up a list of what i wanted to keep 5x xr2i alloys as a must,, 1x cvh engine with everything to run, now i havegot 2x back bumpers spare, one with the light recess relocated, for l plate,, one standard,,

and 3x front bumpers,, ones standard with thevr6 bolted on, ones got the mcr splitter moulded in, and another standard one,, i saw about the bonet pin mod for bumpers,, and got me thinking,, interchangable bumpers is there a way i can have it without cutting the foglight frame?


another thing now,, arch rolling,,

fronts ben lipped,, im thinking with the engin weight laiden its going to rub full weight will eat them clean in 5minutes lol,,

ideas now what to do with the lip,, didnt want to go flared realy but thats the only option i could see, ive still gotthe mud guards fitted also,,

want to get the car done now so i can move out,,

ive been continueing with the fiesta wanting it done by june now,,apart from a water pipe ive obtained everything i need, and fitted

focus manifold was rust as s**t so gave it a good polishing today and quite chuffed with the results of a couple of hours wire brush drilling it to a nice shiny shineyness, still needs another good polish up but never the less a great result























then became the colourcoding again, trying a white bonet for size,, not really impressed at it but different it is,,







i do like the manifold though,, am i right in thinking its of a focus rs??

im sorry to say mate the white really doesnt work in my eyes

theres a local chap to me with a black mk6.5 ZS, and hes done the same as you black detailing eg bump strips and alloys, it really isnt a good look, it works the otherway around eg white car black bits but not black with white




and if that manifold is off a turbo, its going to be useless to you, unless you can make up a downpipe to join the turbo flange on it

its a triangle flanged, 3 bolt,, im pretty certaun its of a frs, but ive got a 2 t3 flanges so was guna cut and shut, with the custom down pipe im having made to accomidate the 2.0 sump, and bonnet is a no,, rest of the cars staying as it is,

everyones entitled to their own opinions off course,, not everyones guna like it , but ive only had a select few that havent,, and at the end of it all, i wanted my car to be my style, unique with my name on it,, like everyone,, and i have since been told of 3 different people they have seen red xr2i/fiestas,, roling on white multispokes, and white touch ups,,

so i think either its very coincidental,, or im a trend setter

the mk1 FRS uses a GT25 turbo, im pretty sure the T3/T2 on the RS turbos use a four bolt flange

yeah, well i thought might as well upgrade the flange to t3, incase futre plans develop but does look like top model 2.0from focus,, ,, or so ive been told, either way looks prettyer than rusty cast crap so over all nice addition and hopefully will add another note to the exhaust,, allthough im kinda worrying about how loud this is going to be ,,

well are you actually turboing it or just planning on using it for N/A and making the downpipe fit?

it all depends what hapens in the next 6 months, as in all honesty, tis taken me 6 months to build this again, after having stupid hours on security, now that ive done away with security job n got a normal 9-5 job, i can now spend money and time on it,, so things will progress quicker,, i want to finish it off with a turbo, hence fitting the t3 flanges,, because ive got 2 of them,, eliminates the need to make another flange up to fit the triangle 3 holed flange currently on it,,

and if i dont go down that route,, i can sell it on turbo ready, the manifold, or the car,

only things left are get a new fan, wait for water pipe to arrive, and get custom downpipe to fit,

Also thats the first time i have ever seen the banana pipe fitted the wrong way. Are you keeping it that way?

no your eyes arnt goin, yes ive painted the battery, and its the wrong way round, and needs another coat of red no one else as a different couloured batttery,, and i didnt like a big black square, so i coloured it in,, and the banna pipes staying that direction allthough i know its not ment to go that way, thankfully that banna pipe i got of jay,, and some how has both sides flattened, so going to use it the way it is fitted to accomidate my maf and air filter, as the batteries too big for it to fit the otehr way,,

Did you mask up the metal poles on the battery? You could just buy a red top or yellow top battery, then it will be a different colour.

yeah i taped them up, and the maintenance indicator thing to, and the battery will be going on the boot soon anyway, just thought ied see what ited look like, and like i said its not finished yet though, run out of red paint,,

i been out working on the car past few days, went to the scrappy got,,
1.8 mondeo blacktop waterpipe,
2.0 mondeo black top radiator fan
zetec pully, and
a few otehr bits,,

cut the fan down to size and fitted wired up nicely, fitted the water pipe also, and its such a tight fit,, im glad all this looking around n "sustanably resourcung"

now down pipe, and take the pully off the cvh alternator, and swap over,,

i kinda blagged to day off from work as its the london to brighton,, bike ride,, so ass the weather is nice i got on with my car cleaning ready for the mot n stuff,, so while no traffic i decided to get the buffer out
