Thanks for the kind comments!!
I take it there are some MK2 haters here???
The Mini belongs to my mate who's a mechanic and has done a lot of work on the XR2. It's pugged away for winter now but is using a Nissan Bluebird as his classic daily runner at the mo!!!
I'll back you up Jay but I take it you ask for it!

theres banter between me and shaun about whats better red or white, its only a laugh but its been going on for some years now, but shaun saw the light when he got a red FRST, i dont care if he sold it later on it still counts

Hi mate. I've been using this Megs trim restorer. Works well the more it is built up, but it is a bit awkward to use where its a cream and not a trigger spray.
It does show run marks when it rains too.
However, if you look at what my bumpers and bodykit were like before I started in the first pictures it works well and they are fairly glossy....but not enough!!

Jake should be a straight forward fit as the mk1 and mk2 are virtually identical mate

Jake..I've known the car for a little while and they have been on there for years. If you look in the first photo of when I got it in a sorry state it had bonnet stripes on it too and it at some point had dodgy Limited Edition stickers on the front wings.
I took off the bonnet stripes as you would and found that over time it had bleached the paintwork slightly.
I wanted to remove the MK1 decals and reinstate the pinstripe but didn't want to risk it looking patchy with bleached paintwork so left them on. They aren't everyones cup of tea but are in good condition and well fitted and give it more of a retro look in my eyes!! :D
