hi people i have been saving up for 6 months now and have just over £4000 to spend on my car. my plan was to put a 2l engine in it using puma speed but since joining this sight i have seen too many people saying they are useles. how long will it take to put a 2l engine in my mk4 and how hard will it be. i have my brother doing most of the work and he has 5 years experience as a machanic so he knows his stuff but he aint shore what alterations need to be done to get the 2l in. any help is appriciated

It all depends on how much time is devoted to it mate, if its only getting a few hours a week, then it will take months. If its getting every spare moment spent on it, then it could be done in a few weeks.

As far as im aware, the chassis leg and inner wind need cutting and boxing, with new mounts welded in.

Im not sure as ive never researched this, but ith 4k, you could definately produce something special :)

Are we talking a 2ltr Zetec-E? or a 2ltr Duratec?

Duratec is what pumaspeed / build will do, but seems to take over 6 months! :o

You'll also need to find somewhere that will make you some custom engine and gearbox mounts.
