My MK5 zetec runabout....

Postby festa_boy19 on Thu Sep 06, 2012 4:46 pm

Hi everyone, during my 9 years of driving i've owned many fast cars - FRST, FRS etc. However, I've decided that I'm getting the MK7 ST turbo next year, which means keeping my runabout! I decided to tidy it up a little, so thought I'd post some pics! I've added minor cosmetic and some interior changes. Spec is as follows;

-De tangoed headlights
-Clear side repeaters
-LHD rear cluster
-Ford mud gaurds all round
-40mm lowering springs
-Leather interior

I think I'm going to get some RS1800 alloys soon, and get the rear arches repaired. Not sure what else to do after that! Anyway, here's some pics....

It's been a great little reliable car, the little 1.25 zetec performs well for its size. Looking forward to getting back in a quick Ford again though!

Thanks man, the aim is to get it looking tidy spending as little money as possible. I think some 15 inch RS2k / RS1800 alloys would look nice. I'm on the scrounge for a cheap set....

not sure the mk5 RS200 wheels would suit the curvy mk5, the mk6 curvier ones would look more at home imo :D

nice looking run around, good colour

Yeah the mk6 wheels were the preferred choice, I had them on one my 2.0 si, they looked pretty good. I just wish these old Fiestas didn't rust, the n/s rear arch has caught the rot! Any other suggestions guys? Going to order new badges to replace the old ones, not sure what else I can do really. Fitted a new head unit along with 6x9's today, feel like I'm 17 again!haha!
