My new chair

Postby dontpannic on Mon Feb 15, 2010 5:44 pm

I am an avid racing simulator fan, you'll find me racing around circuits on Live for Speed fairly regularly, and with the recent replacement of the seats in my car I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do some "DIY".

I made myself a race - inspired computer chair!

Started off with some blocks of wood and an Si passenger seat, removed the seatbelt pretensioner, and as a prototype mounted the seat onto blocks of wood, then set about making the seat base level. I've still got some finishing off to do - tidy it up around the edges - but at the moment its making a fantastic racing / computer chair :)

Nice one Nick!! :) Ive always wanted to do this, but have the chair on a computer chair base so it spins around like a normal chair. Imagine, leave the seatbelt on, see how fast someone can spin you round

Good idea!! The problem with having it swivel is its not too good for the steering wheel, nice and solid is fantastic :D
