Ahahaha
The number of times I've done that.
At work the other favourite is grabbing the glasses case. Total nobber moment.

Yes, yes you are. And so am I
Not as bad as the person who unplugged their phone today then put in an urgent support call saying their phone had stopped working. Surely natural selection would have had these idiots bumped off in the early stages of their lives...
Nothing to see here...

I've pressed the boot open button instead of turning the lights on a couple of times... leads to me pulling over the shut the boot again amidst a large amount of swearing.

Frequently, I arrive at work, get out of the car, lock the car, and then instinctively grab the front door key, only to realise i'm a long way from home.
My name is Alex. I used to have a Capri. I don't anymore. But I'm still called Capri.

That's just reminded me actually... the other day I was trying to play back something I'd recorded and the machine wouldn't respond to the remote, after much swearing and jabbing at the buttons I realised I had it the wrong way round.

I've tried to use my door key in the car and vice-versa, also I've tried to drive the car without turning it on.

Re: my poxy mouse packed up!
In that situation I had worked out a perfect solution for when I lived my parents. It involved a coat hanger and opening a downstairs window. Climbing through the window and bingo. If I needed to try it now though I fear I would become firmly wedged!
