Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
Next I tackled the badges as I hate standered badges so I bought some orange
and black over-lays as this is my scheme for the car.
When they arrived
Front
Rear
Center of stearing wheel (sorry about pic I couldn't get the camera to focus)
I always thought the car was running a bit off so I bought a pipercross panel filter.
I went for a panel filter instead of an induction kit because my insurince company
wont allow induction kits.
Will fit one at a later date.
Recived it the day after I ordered it
On the mk6 and 6.5 its a nightmare to get to the filter as when the get the box
off the top of the engine you see this
10 yes 10 star key bolts that you have to remove with the star allen keys :annoyed:
That dont time to inspect inside and - OMFG
Thats never been cleaned or changed :annoyed:
Old one out new one in
I have noticed better preformance. Mainly on the torque side of things.
Next it was time to fit my side strips.
I decided to have Zetec S put into it as thats what I have
Next I changed my rear wiper arm
Before
Lifted the cap to reveal the nut that neded undoin to fit new on on.
The differnce between the two

Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
Then I decided to order a strut brace.
Then fitted it
Unfortunatly I had to remove it as the air box was hitting it quite bad :bigcry:
I was toying with getting my alloys powder coated in black and orange
(photoshop)
As I was thinking about it I pulled out another set of alloys I had to see if they
fitted. They did and looked like this (pants)

Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
Ordered a new sticker from DMB with my own design
Paid a bit to much but it looks loads better than nothing there.
Dan did a great job so a big thanks to Dan at Zippy :thumb:
And a big thanks to Gaz (from BOEC) for the springs :thumb:
The differnce between standered and lowered springs
How it now looks (before a quick drive lol)
Had a quick drive and it setled a bit more
Up against a small curb
And the Strut Brace
Then same day I had a little bump. I was extreamly tired and bump a KA slightly.
No damage at all to the KA and not much to mine apart from a slight crease
Lucky I havent yet got it sprayed from when some one hit me and drove of in a
car park. O well I will sort it out 1 day. My fault for driving home tired.

Ordered some 3D carbon gel number plates and to this day I still love them ;D
Then I got myself a ST rear valence
Fitted
Then I decided to get my self some orange paint and do my breaks
And the drums (I plan to do these black as they still dont look right)
Then I debadged the car
Then I sprayed my mirrors orange (I slightly messed these up so my old man sorted them out but they still
need redoing at some point)

Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
On the 17th of jan (last year) after fitting my CD player I was on my way over to Treorchy to
meet south wales branch of BOEC at Steve and Mels to go to the autosport show in NEC in
Steve's Mini Bus.
Well just out side Treorchy I hit a pot hole and buckled 1 of my alloys
So went to halford and ordered a new set of wheels I have always wanted, Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's
Then I had them on 4th feb
Differnce

Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
Decided to do something a little differnt so the air box out and taking apart lol
Cleaned and sanded back a bit.
1st coat of primer
Last coat
Close up
1st coat of spray
Didnt think as was probally still bit tired but should have sanded before this.
This is why I should have sanded.
Left it to dry for about an hour then sanded back and did second coat.
Close up
Even closer. You can see how bad it is here
Right fitted it and OMG I love it
First off reminder of before.
And now
Just need these to set it off. (in orange of course )
http://www.roosemotorsport.co.uk/product_i...sgjau8v7tatuni0
Personally I think he should give me a bit of discount. After all I did help him out
a lot to make them. I sent s**t loads of photos and mesurments off to him
Also as I had a very small amount of primer and black I did this
to this

Re: my project zs (mk6.5)
Bought a boot lock cover.
Then sprayed my fog surrounds matt black and added orange tint to fogs
Here they are with the fogs on. Took these with my actuall camera and not the phone
Took me and will like hour and half to fit it cos of the baxtered bolts :annoyed:
Before
After
Also iv removed the orange film on the fog lights.
Yesterday (11/08/2010) I done a little more.
I ran out of spray so needs 1 more coat on the main grill and rear valence but
its not noticable.
There you all are up to date now
What you all think? All coments welcome.
