My Pug 206
Sorry not a ford!!
Thought id make a thread on my car seeing as it'l be on the stand at combe at the weekend.
After having to break my mondeo v6 due to the engine going bang, and insurance prices going silly, i had to buy a cheaper car to run and insure to get me to uni and back mainly (a 40 mile round trip).
Saw this for sale and thought it looked pretty good, went to have a look and ended up buying it!
Its a 2001 206 Quicksilver, its only a 1.4 8v, so its far from quick, but it does its job and i havent had any problems with it in 4 months.
Only thing I have changed since having the car, is ive put a stainless backbox on it with a 2.5 inch tailpipe mainly because the old backbox was made of rust.

Re: My Pug 206
haha the alarm was only a small problem and one thats sorted now it was just a bit over protective lol
and yup it isnt quick at all, but it looks alright and so far has been fairly reliable! so it'l do me haha
Going to be leaving it almost standard i think, if anything, il drop it 40mm but thats about it really.

Looks very nice. I've always liked the fact that Peugeot aren't afraid to make sporty-looking cars with cost-friendly engines
And it's Quiksilver, not Quicksilver, so no one needs to moan that they don't live up to their name

Re: My Pug 206
Not really upgraded this since i got the car but done a few things lately!
First thing i changed was the brakes! It had solid discs to start with which overheated WAY too easily, so swapped them for vented. Same size, but just cooled a bit better.
The next thing I changed was fitting a different back box. Had a 2.5 inch exit exhaust on since just after getting the car which sounded nice, but changed this for a bit bigger inward rolled one that i got given off Adam (Mada01) for free
Next thing I decided to do was lower it 35mm. After a complete headache, and 2 days later, finally got the torsion bars un-seized. Not something I want to do again!! But it looks good, and handles a lot better now!

And thats how it stands at the moment!
