jimmyesh :Nice to see you getting stuck in mate Kind of shocking at first to see my old pride and joy looking like that! Needed doing even when I had it, so at least it's finally being squared away!
im sure 90% of fiestas out there that have been 'used' look like this... my frst was loads worse... will be worth it and as ive said i knew it needed doing before i bought it so nothing i didnt know about...

FRSJON :it came to a point mate that if i didnt do it now then it would struggle to get a MOT again... so do it once and do it right..
with mot's i find it helps to be best friends with the tester
i will keep a close eye on your progress. Jay has all this to come next year with mine

well not much of a update but i went to look at the car tonight... work hasnt really started yet just assessing what needs doing and whats best to do first...
i went down and took the fuel tank off to make things easier... bloody pump seal is leaking loads... so need to sort a new one
a little pic of how the car will sit for a few weeks...
more pics as soon as the panels turn up...

He better be careful it doesn't fold in half up on that 2 poster
I must admit mate, I'd get those wheels off before he starts grinding and spraying anything if I were you.
They'll be a Bic™ to clean if you don't
How much are your panels costing ??

.. he said he's not touching the sills till the panels are here and will do them one at a time... .. the panels are £146.50.. delivered...full sills left and right.. front wings left and right... all from beevers...the wheels will be coming off soon as the slightly damaged one is being refurbed...and before he gets too in to grinding i will be covering all the glass and the dash...

Re: my rs1800...M148 ANJ
update time.!!...
well alots been done to the car and over christmas i have been getting the underneath ready so that the car can come off the lift so we can get the last parts finished..
when the sills were changed i wanted to coat them with a seal/stone chip..so 2ltrs of stone chip was bought , i applied this to the sills and found i had loads of it left so decided to do the rest of the floor...BIG mistake!!... it all looked fine for about five mins the i noticed a large section sagging down... turns out the stone chip and the hammerite id painted the floor with didnt get on . it all had to be removed which was a major pain in the arse.... but once the floor was stonechip and paint free i could re apply more stonechip and paint over the top....
underneath all rust free and painted...
also the rear sections i removed have been welded up and painted..
whilst the car was sat there i decided to do a few bits that i never got round to so front inner wings and brakes got a few coats...
next on the list was to get the new front wings on... they werent a bad fit ...
last year id changed the exhaust for the scorpion one off my frst, the only prob was it was a bigger bore and never quite sealed properly ... all sorted now,new flexi and a 'special' cat....
next thing on the list for me is to give the car a bloody good clean... its a bit dusty...
once its off the lift theres a small part of the top off the sill to sort them it will time to sort the paint....
hope you like....

Re: my rs1800...M148 ANJ
about time it was updated mate!
looking good though, as soon as i read the word "sag" i knew what was coming, as the thinners in the stone chip dont like hammerite, and some primers, i too found out the hard way, but nothing as bad as you did though
