Yeah - don't think my stage 2 T3 will push out that much psi!

Will have to seriously uprate everything else on the engine before doing that too!

Right - some progress at last.

The engine bay has been sprayed along with my strut brace and battery (resprayed grey to match car  ).

The Cossie rims are on it too (with old tyres) to check to see how it's all going to fit - got alot of work to do on the front arches to get them not to rub on the actual rim edge!

Here you go...

I think it's going to look brilliant when it's all done - the cossie rims look so fat on the car!

What do you guys think?

Nah, I'm no sprayer!

The work is being done by a friend of a friend as it were - they're going to do the rest of the car once all of the welding has been done (needs 2 new sills and rear arches are being re-done along with plate around filler cap).

I'm losing the green stripes, bumpers are being smoothed over and doors delocked, swage lines removed from bonnet and bootlid and mk3.5 badges.

Mk3.5 mirrors colour coded along with a black Mk4 rear wiper arm.

I'll keep you posted, spraying is being done next week so should be ready in time for FITP!

Cheers,

You may laugh but they are actually racing compound tyres that the previous wheel owners had specially made for the car below...

My apologies :(

Goes to show I'm not very clever!!!

I thought I'd seen that name as a "cheaper make" but I was wrong.

Nice car anyway, that's the main thing!

Good luck with it!

Cheers guys!

I thought the same thing about the tyres when I saw them on it but was corrected by the guy doing me the Goodyear Eagle F1s - he looked at the compound on them and he went 'oooh - very nice! racing compounds'.

The guy wants the tyres back to get the compounds right on his new set (the motorsport shell 3 door track day car he uses! :o ).

We're firing up the engine tomorrow evening! Hope it all goes OK - will have to take a vid clip of it.

Cheers,

Turboforce stage 2 T3 and Pace chargecooler - may change to GRS at a later date but don't want to change to bonnet pins (plus I feel chargecooler is vastly underrated by alot of people who haven't tried them!)

Very nice Andy :) Definately keep your badges, as your car will be nice and subtle, with no kits and a (very nice ;) ) standard Ford set of wheels. Be proud of what the car is :)

I'd look toward people who've had them and moved to GRS or other large coolers:

IanFRST
Paul R
Paul J
Sunny
Mike Gurney
Ian Howell

They are just the ones I can think of offhand.

If the space can be made (and it can on a Fiesta) then the large IC is a much better option.

No progress pics yet - will get some tomorrow of the blinged up engine bay (chrome rocker cover, bailey header tank, bailey oil seperator, bailey swirl pot, pace chargecooler, cleaned up charge carrier, blah blah).

Will look nice I assure you!

I tend not to post the "looks good" type comments unless I'm genuinely impressed, which having seen a lot of Fiestas over the years is getting rarer now :( I seem to have seen it all. I'm sure it'll be a great car once it's done, but I've not yet seen something tha makes me go "wow", like for example what Rawli's done with his bumper, or the use of the Combat bumper without feeling the need to fit the rest of the kit on Neil's blue ZVH.

However, when that carputer goes in I might have something to say. ;)

I should have elaborated on the chargecooler thing a bit more. What I meant was the people listed have had cc's and moved back to intercoolers.

I was just pointing out that rather than spending £600 on a cc, spend half that on a GRS and have a superior product. As Matt (StreetDragster) has proved, you don't need to cut masses off the bumper or loose the bonnet catch.
