It's like it because like Rawli said, the bonnet won't actually shut, or it'll shut, but touches the charge carrier... something like that anyway
That looks so damn gorgeous though, I'm impressed...

Looks fantastic Andy - a cracking Fez The wheels look great, the car sits nice, and the paint looks good (wrong colour though )
i'm glad you've got it back at last, hope you're happy with her!!
Looks really smart all round, looking forward to more pics (engine bay etc)
I'd quite like a small Ford badge on the front, as i think it would suit the car, but that's just my opinion.
Top stuff mate
Gareth

How about a tiny badge on the front, From the centre of a puma steering wheel.
Or are there any others which are 60-80% size of a normal 3.5 one. To be different?

Yeah - engine feels brand new, there was a bit of a scare though as one of the core plugs had corroded whilst the engine had been sitting around and burst when starting it up this morning.
Luckily Simon had some new ones lying around in the garage and fitted it up with no problems!
Can somebody make me a new signature with the new pics?
Cheers,
Andy

Aiii, it's not too enjoyable at the moment but I'm going to have a play about with the suspension and see if I can come to some kind of compromise with the rubbing at the front.
I think I'm going to stiffen up the front quite a bit more on the dampers and raise it a few mm on the driver's side and a little bit less on the passenger front (the driver's side has settled a bit lower this time - will have to get it level when I'm actually in the car - I'd really like to get it corner weighted!).
I'll be at Ford Fair on the fiestaturbo.com stand!
Cheers,
Andy

Andy Andy Andy. The car's the star The Cossie wheels, though usually only ever seen on a Fiesta for about a week at a time due to rubbing, are the best wheels available for them, no doubt about it. Sure, the Escort 15s and the Mondeo 16s come close, but the originals leave me speechless. It's a shame it's still grey, but it's better than rust I'm trying to download the video on my 2Kb/day connection, so I'll probably have to try again tonight as I've got to dash in a sec. Very glad you can get to Ford Fair, and hopefully I can see it soon. Roll on the boost

Hey guys,
I'm working on the interior in the car at the moment (on a tea break as I write this) and I thought I'd take some pics of the car with the rear clusters on it!
Here ya go:
The pictures don't really do it justice but I think it looks alot nicer with them on (not that there's anything wrong with standard rear clusters ).
Cheers,
Andy

Not a daft question at all
The engine has an American Tall block 1.9 CVH block which is 5mm taller than the standard 1.6 block. Because I didn't want to make the sump sit closer to the ground (to avoid destruction of engine) I found that the only way to get the charge carrier to stop hitting the bonnet (and denting it again after having it fixed) I had to raise the bonnet at the back. Also I had to raise the bonnet slightly at the front (you can only notice it really when you look close) and this meant making a modified bracket to help with the re-positioning of the radiator (to fit the T3) and chargecooler (brought further out into the middle so that it is exposed to more of the air intake in the bumper).
Only reason I did it was for function but now I think it looks pretty mean too!
Cheers,
Andy

Some more pictures (sorry for being so snap-happy!):
Looking messy whilst I work out wire routing for the carputer system
and a shot of the progress with the false boot floor
Still got loads to do - going to carry on as late tonight as I can before I call it a day and get the rest done tomorrow!
Cheers,
Andy
