My RST - nearly come to that time...
WOAHH!!
Something just looks soooo right about that back end and I've just twigged what it is - the filled stripe recess.
Always looks excellent and this is no exception.
Gotta get the badges back on though - wear your Fiesta RS Turbo badge (well sticker) with pride!

Yep - I'm on the fiestaturbo.com stand with the car.
I'll see you there dude.
Oh - as for the stickers, I'm thinking about getting the original Sierra Cosworth style stickers made up for the back in black/dark grey or something like that.
Not too sure that original style stickers will suit the back end now.
Cheers,
Andy

I will be doing that but haven't had time to get it done for Ford Fair.
Should have a fair few more touches by RSOC National Day

BTTT!
I thought I'd post up on here exactly what's happened to the car since the last pictures taken on the 30th July all in one post
Well, I got the boot install finished on the 31st and it looked something like this...
The PSU was still outside of the case whilst I worked on different components inside the case, I've now managed to get the PSU inside and give the system a more neat look overall which has pleased me no end
Everything was running ok with the car (except for the rubbing with the Cossie rims meaning I could only go everywhere at 10 miles an hour) so me and my mate Neil went and took some pictures of our cars together...
This was still running on the standard OFAB management with blue injectors, I had changed over to my Escort Cossie fuel pump as the old one failed on me after sitting around in the workshop for so long when the respray was being done (I already had the uprated one sitting ready ).
I then drove the car up to 'Gadget' up in Essex for him to carry out one of his Cossie management conversions
The car ran fine on the way home but soon developed a misfire problem which made itself apparent when trying to drive the car up to the RSOC national day and also when driving to and from Grove Garage.
Grove Garage also delivered me some bad news in that the spec. of my car wasn't going to be good enough for the power output I was expecting so more money was going to have to be found to buy these new bits, which included:
- Single pass front mounted intercooler to keep ACT temps down whilst not restricting boost
- .48 or bigger exhaust housing for the T3 turbo, compressor part is fine for quite high boost but the exhaust housing was too small to flow any decent amount of power
- 3bar MAP sensor with Cossie management kit I bought was an aftermarket one with different internals to official Weber Marelli 3bar MAP sensor, meaning the readings were off enough to cause an issue with the fuelling (we believe this was the cause of the misfire when hitting boost)
- Clutch was going to need uprating as it was only a fast-road item
Whilst I was thinking about this I decided to carry on a bit more with my carputer system and tried my hand at installing the bumper web-cam
I was running really low on money at this point, with more money going out of my bank account than was coming in and so I came to the decision to sell my Cossie rims, meaning I had to revert back to my 15" rims I'd bought nearly a year before.
The suspension in that picture is still set for running Cossie rims, I've yet to actually fiddle with it to adjust it for the 15s (hasn't really been any point as it hasn't driven much since).
On the 17th October I got really bored and decided to give the Turbo a polish up in all the doorshuts and bits that usually get ignored
Once again I was happy that I'd done something but then I received my DIN foldout casing for my TFT touchscreen and decided to have a play
Me and my Dad then transplanted the guts from the Xenarc screen in the pictures further up in this post to the foldout casing to make this...
Then I got round to installing it in the car to look like this (having relocated the head unit to under the electric window buttons)...
which also looked like this...
Now that my carputer was coming back together and I had managed to secure some money to help finish off the car and get my business off the ground I decided that my car deserved those parts it needed to get finished
That little lot arrived from Pro-Alloy, along with the .48 T3 exhaust housing from Turbo Technics
It was now a case of removing the parts that were going to need replacing on the car - leaving the front of the RS looking like this...
and my dining room floor looking like this...
Things stayed like this for a long time as Christmas and New Year's came and went, all the while I was in talks and meetings with the University of Brighton to secure funding for my business startup (which I'm about to receive the first instalment of - which is nice!).
Earlier this week the car underwent the slow process of being rebuilt, including some other new bits that had been bought in the past few weeks
New turbo all wrapped up - seems to be pretty effective
Alcon 6 paddle clutch
back in
I'll thank everyone that's helped me when the car's running again - which shouldn't be too long from now!
Thanks for taking the time to download/read/view
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks!
As for the screen - if you wait until the end of this month I should have something even better (fully motorised) with the same LCD and a much more 'slick' look.
Should also be cheaper as I'm cutting out alot of annoying middle-men.
Cheers,
Andy

Will you be able to connect to the internet from it and let people view the bumper-cam that would be sweet

I plan to do something very similar to that yeah - just depends on how good a deal I can get with data connections when they open them up on 3mobile.

Right - seriously bored at the moment, what with people letting me down (business-wise) left, right and centre I thought, bugger it, with £40 to my name and not much else I can at least have a look around my pride and joy in the afternoon sunshine.
I gave the front of the car a polish - I'll do the rest bit by bit this week (otherwise I'm going to get seriously bored by Wednesday! ) and I also took the centre caps out of the wheels as the one I was missing made the wheel look alot nicer and less chavvy
I'll only bother to reset the suspension once I've re-sorted out spacing for the 15s and also got all the other bits on the car
Cheers,
Andy

looking really good Andy, hope you get it all finished soon.
I'll be on the lookout for a grey one when I have somewhere to put it - can't justify having one being parked on the street 24/7
Have to get a garage soon as good ones are getting hard to find.
sorry if it's already been asked but are you keeping those wheels or going for something different?

I will change the wheels - eventually.
They work for now and I'm happy with the way the car handles on them so they'll be staying until I can source the money and the exact wheels I want
It will look alot better on these rims once I get everything cleaned up and the suspension setup for this size rims again
Cheers,
Andy

I've got a bit of an update for you guys, the first being that on Wednesday my mate Simon came back around my house armed with hose connectors so that we could put together something that will work
Connected the top half of a FRST Samco coolant hose to the bottom half of an XR2i Samco coolant hose using a proper pipe connector...
This meant that the hoses hooked up to the radiator like so...
rather than like this with the standard FRST coolant hose alone...
The radiator has been repositioned and to fit the end tank in properly we had to remove quite a bit of metal work as you can see here...
The bottom of the valance has been cut away (Simon's angle grinder disc ground away before he could get all the way across when cutting, I didn't have any tin snips to hand to cut the last bit away ) so that the rad and intercooler can be moved about so that there is the ultimate compromise for space between the rad and the T3 (which the thinner core of the 2i rad helps with) and also minimise the amount of cutting needed to the bumper to fit the Pro Alloy cooler on the front of the car.
I also got the first instalment of my business loan which also covers my living costs, so I went and bought this for my turbo today, seeing as it will be back on the road next week
I should have the car up and running with everything in place by the end of next week - which has cheered me up today despite my stinking cold!
Cheers,
Andy

Not as interesting as yours tho! I have a bit of rust on my sill, want to make a start on my bumpers, try out some of that cheap flashing tape in my boot and cover it up with some carpet turret covers, tighten my exhuast (as its wonky again) and paint my rocker cover (black!)
