Was trying to think of some nice places to take the car for a drive round today so decided on Beachy Head
It's been quite overcast around here today but it's actually bloody warm as well - looks like there's going to be a thunderstorm along the coast a bit later this evening
The town of Eastbourne in the background in this one...
Can just make out the sea in the background of this one - bit too hazy to get detail though...
The old lighthouse (drove past this a bit later on but didn't get any closeup pics)...
One for heeman10...
Really enjoyed the drive out - went down a few places around Beachy Head I've never been to before, think some of them have been used in Top Gear before
Cheers,
Andy

If only you could drift it - I wouldn't even contemplate selling it otherwise!
I keep meaning to put the smoked rear clusters in but forgetting again when I find something else more interesting to do

I'm in 2 minds now, I've only got a few things left to do to the engine and it's finished as far as that goes.
Then I could go the whole hog with adjustable TCAs up front, adjustable rear beam, stripped out interior including stereo and carputer, roll cage fitted etc. to make the car a full on track car. That would be fun but I don't think I'd use it enough on the road to warrant it, so now I'm in 2 minds about just using it for a bit and maybe another show season and then splitting the car to make back as much money as possible!
One thing is for certain, I'll be doing a little bit of work on the rust on the underside of the boot floor as it's not looking too good under there now.
Cheers,
Andy

Look at the size of that sheep! Bet that badgirl could go alll night I like the way the farmer's trimmed the bottom of the fence with Recaro fabric, nice touch
Ah the modifying world is a funny one. Because you think it's nearly complete, you're thinking of selling! I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a small part of my head thinking along those lines, but I'd like to enjoy what I've made for a bit longer yet

TBH it's not the fact that it's nearly complete that's got me thinking this - I've been thinking it for ages.
If I sold the car I could pay off alot of my debts and live a much more stress free life, especially with only having to look after one un-modified car! I think I'm getting too old for all this modifying lark!
Cheers,
Andy

if you sold it i bet you'd only get another project and go through it all again....

You're right - I probably would get another project car and go through it all again, but starting with something that's much better to begin with
It's just that it's looking likely that I'm either going to have to lease/borrow/steal/buy a relatively new MPV to demonstrate my system at various different types of show as the Fiesta is just too small and the wrong type of car for showing off to potential customers, so whatever happens the system will be taken from the Turbo and put into something else. I haven't really got the driveway space for the Turbo so it could well end up living at my Dad's for a while under a car cover - getting rid of it (probably being broken) would make the most sense financially and practically.
I'm not making a decision just yet - still weighing up my options and there are definitely a few things I want to get done to the car yet!

Bit of an update for you guys.
Have a bit of a list of things I still need to do to get the car running 'properly' again but Simon sorted a few of those out for me today
- Rear strut adjusters freed off
- Anti-freeze/Summer coolant in after coolant dumping after Trax
- Oil level checked - everything fine
- Gearbox oil topped up
- Reverse gear light switch in properly now
- Clutch pedal adjusted to new biting point (it's now finally bedded in )
All I need to get done now is the following:
- Get Grove Garage to check and adjust cam sensor timing
- Get Grove Garage to set boost how it should be (only running 15psi compared to 20psi previously)
- Fit oil cooler and associated gauges
- Adjust intercooler and mold bumper to aid air flow as well as sorting out ducting to oil cooler
- Sort out underseal and rust proofing of boot floor (looking a bit skanky now)
Here's a pic of it parked up outside my house - going to take it for a blat after dinner
Cheers,
Andy

Running a bit low on spare money to spend on the RST at the moment so I've not really done anything to it recently.
I'll hopefully get the car booked in for it's sorting out at Grove at the beginning of November.
In the mean time I'm sorting out stuff with the business and took some piccys of the motorised screen in the Turbo
Folded in (I've had to space the whole unit out by about 3/4 of an inch to make sure it folds out properly - this is an inherent problem with the mk3 Fiesta dash, most other Ford dashes are ok excluding Sierra/Sapphire ones).
Folding out - luckily with the standard Fiesta gearstick it moves over the top in all gears without touching
Operating with Centrafuse front end software playing MP3s from the Hard Drive
Checking out the motorised adjustment - this is at full forward tilting angle, good for angled dashboards
Very pleased with this unit - the touchscreen works brilliantly and doesn't smudge from finger pressing like some of the other touchscreens I've used do Also - because it's mounted lower in the dash the screen appears more brightly (less surrounding light from the sun) and you can flick through tracks whilst your hand is resting on the gearstick
Cheers,
Andy

I would never buy something like a touchscreen from eBay personally - but other people have without problems.
I can't rely on eBay as a supplier for my business though!

Hey,
Just wondering that type of wheels those are?
I think im going to buy ones similar off a guy locally, whats the offset of yours - how much is the car lowered, what tyre size you using, and have you used spacers so they fill the arches a bit more?
Cheers

Theres only one thing that lets this car down, and thats the wheels, just looks like uve spent loads on decent gear etc and put a cheapo set of wheels on it!
The standard wheels would look alot better than those

lol - I think I'll be repeating myself if I tell you the reasons why I got those wheels, and seeing as I don't care what you think anyway I'm not going to bother
Car will be being broken once I get the cam timing sorted!
