Hi guys,

Thanks for all the nice comments - I would love to keep the car but in all honesty it's been a labour of love and one that I can no longer really afford to keep up!

I had alot of fun driving the car last night but it's a very impractical car (any car you've spent so much money on gets impractical - you won't want to park it anywhere out of your sight, making the whole purpose of the car just being to drive it, which I'm finding less and less time to do) and the car won't be worth that much money in most people's eyes when it comes to selling.

I don't want to have people walking around the car trying to knock a price down that I think it deserves so I'm going to break it.

The engine is worth the most money of course, but near enough all the proper bits of the car have been uprated, the only things that are relatively standard are the rear beam, brake master cylinder and the suspension bushes!

The car will still be together for a while yet - as I've still got things to do like I said before. The stereo system is being taken out as well as the car computer as they're going to be sold on/transferred to another car but things like the Audioscape door pods will be up for sale as they're only really useful to someone with a mk3 Fez!

It's been alot of fun and I doubt it will be the last Fiesta I own - the next time I build one though it will cost me alot less time and hassle as I'll know what to do and what NOT to do :)

Cheers,

Andy

Wish it was as simple as that Neil, but my funding from the Uni of Brighton ends soon and I will only be earning less than 600 squid a month on my companies payroll (until I take dividends at the end of the tax year) so basically the next 6 months or so I'm going to have live like a pauper! The FRST has the most amount of money tied up into it and you have to admit that after all is said and done, it's just a piece of metal and I can always buy/build another one ;)

However, the next performance car I hope to buy will be something a bit more expensive and quicker as standard - will probably be German too ;)

Cheers,

Andy

sorry to hear this, your car's one of the best on here :(

needs must though, and I'm sure something newer and more reliable is the sensible option.

Don't suppose you could hold onto it for a bit until I get some cash? :P :D

May i just say, this is a really nice car, well modified with the right bits, and a little bit different. Im glad you have got to the end though, there were times a while ago when things were going wrong you wanted to break it, but im glad you stuck with it. Its been interesting to see it develop into the car it is today, and although it will be a shame to see it broken, its the best way. A modified car is personal, and it would be a shame to see someone wreck all the hard work you've done.

Well done Andy, an end of an era. Good luck with the business, and the money problems over the next few months! :)

Pez you've summed my feelings up perfectly!

Top car indeed - it doesn't "shout out loud" but does the job very well and subtly! :Q

You car looks the beautiful and its a shame to see such a well looked after car being broken into pieces. Its getting harder and more difficault to find well looked after Fiesta RS's. Id like to know how many RS's there are left cos so many seem to be in bits now.

Im saying this in the nicest possible way "YOUR MAD :o " but at the end of the day everyone has their reasons for doing certain things and you have yours.

Do hope it all works out for the best for you mate.
