my runaround mk6.5 z-s tdci
since 2007 i have'nt used my si
heres the last pics of her
and has lived here since
mainly because i've been too involved with my s1 xsi 16v
decided its time to concerntrate on the mk3 si again
the only way this will ever happen is if i stop playing with the xsi,
so i've gone for a fiesta zetec s tdci in frozen white for everyday
its a 58plate it had 13miles on the clock
all the options available apart from sat nav and folding mirrors
full leather interior
sunroof
climate control
sony mp3/cd player
steering wheel remote
full bluetooth through the stereo
voice controls
traction control
heated windscreen
heated mirrors (sure i've forgotten somethings, but you get the idea)
she's a 1.6 16v turbo diesel should do around 55-65 mpg
£35 a year tax and obviously has 3 years ford dealers warranty
got no plans for it really, just wanted something comfy, reliable, warranty just incase
also makes sense for me as i work in fords, cheap services etc
really love the ford frozen white though, very bright
some pics i took when i went to view the car

Re: my new runaround
plan is to finish off little bits here and there on the 106,
maybe one more track day and then i'll put her up for sale
i've had a new engine for the si for about two years now
so plan is to get that up and running, been collecting parts for a long time now
greedy is'nt what my parents say with all my cars on their driveway

yeah i know it may sound silly, but the xsi is a great fast car,
but theres always something that needs doing being french
and its suprising how much of your time and money it takes in the end,
so by not using it everyday i wont be repairing anything and will probably put her up for sale in a month or two's time

the top edge of the bumper needs trimming,
if you try and put the bumper on yours it will be obvious where it needs trimming

Re: my new runaround
yeah dont get me wrong, its a cracking car, goes like holy stink
showed up countless amounts of bigger sports cars,
but like anything tuned, you always have something wrong lol
and being french aswell haha
but its on the drive behaving until a bit later in the year, when its better to sell,
peugeot engines are pretty reliable tho

i like the monte's something different, tempted to buy some st500 rims (black st150 wheels) and keep the monte's as spares for the mk3
si should have some progress as soon as the weather gets better, too cold right now
106, well amazing fast handling cars, never thought i'd say it but great fun.
bet the civic goes well, everyone loves a bit of v-tec
cheers for the comments mate

cheers fella's
few updates
plain old wipers, although still new like the car, did'nt clear the screen well at all
new ford flatblade wipers
they work alot better, clear screen everytime
also got hold of a full set of factory primered mouldings and door handles
so they should be colour coded soon in frozen white

Also loving the zs with those wheels on, didn't think they would work but they look the dogs danglies! Get it lowered with those on and it will look ace!

Re: my new runaround
its called flocking mate,
used in rally cars as it stops any glare from the dashboard
there are DIY kits out there, but its fiddly messy stuff and best left to people who have the know how,
cost me about £100 to have my dash and other fiffly things done

not sure i understand mate? its like nylon fibres, which stick to the dashboard, as you cover it in glue and then negatively charge it,
so the fibres stand on end, its not cloth moulded to shape
