Re: my runaround mk6.5 z-s tdci, updated 19/12/10
Just had a good read through this thread and the car looks soooo good now, colour coding the door handles and mirrors and subtle things like this is just the kinda thing i like to do and the 125bhp is a nice little power figure for it, just can't believe how cheap it is to tax lol!......... nicely done chap

thanks steve,
I'm chuffed with it, only thing I might change is a few bits in the interior
front seats, headlining and pillar trims trimmed in black suede

The mk6 looks mint and really looks great . Do you know the part numbers for the door mouldings and locks handles.

there can only be around 10 parts advisors in the country that actually know how to look parts up
the rest of them seem to have a bad reputation

People often say about having problems getting bits from Ford and them looking them up on Microcat etc............. i never usually have any issues getting parts tbh, my main problem with my old Series 1 was getting told "nahhhh, can't get that anymore"
Managed to get the bits i needed in the past for the Fiesta

i only give maximum 10% trade discount if ppl prove they are in some sort of trade.
Companies who spend alot with us tend to get 20% max
ford parts prices have gone up 4 times last year alone. So now with vat going back up expect them to rise again in april.

Re: my runaround mk6.5 z-s tdci
thought it was due an update,
i decided to change the mondeo 300mm calipers for the st170 calipers
as there is a better choice of brake pads such as ferodo ds2500's
got hold of a brand new set on ebay
new st170 caliper next to the mondeo caliper
obviously not a major difference really, but they came with brand new ford brake pads
which will do for now before i decided on what uprated pads to have
