My UG Focus RS - Springs and exhaust
Been about 8 years since I last posted pics of mods I'd done in this section. Had the Focus for just under 2 months now. Didn't stay standard for long!
Current mods:
- Elevate torque mount
- Quick shift
- Sparco gearknob (same as I had in the FRST back in '02)
- Eibach springs (25mm front, 15mm rear)
- KMS Firestorm 3" bore exhaust with downpipe and 200 cell sports cat
Got but not fitted yet:
- Auto Specialists inlet manifold (cheap 'cos it's white, need to respray black)
- Alloy recirculating valve

Does look nice, although they still haven't completely grown on me!
Lovely photos, though! Where were they taken?

Excellent. Did you consider a new Clio, or was it just time to move on?

Didn't really consider the Clio - too many doors, don't like the look and not really much of an upgrade. Looked at the new Fiesta ST but these have so much more potential.
Wanted one of these since they came out but with buying a house it wasn't do-able then.
Plan to take this to 420-450bhp or maybe more if I get bored of that power!

Re: My UG Focus RS - Springs and exhaust
Plate is just the original with the first and last digits Photoshopped out, hence the weird spacing. Looks neater than just blurring and it a lot quicker than changing it to something fancy for every shot!
I've got CLIO ART on retention from when I sold the 200, but that wouldn't really work on this. Will get one for this when I can find a good one, or get tired of looking and just get a cheap 5 digit.

Re: My UG Focus RS - Springs and exhaust
Can't believe I actually had to do this on a £20K+ car, but I went to Halfords and bought a tin of calliper paint to spruce up the brakes:
Looks much neater but unfortunately emphasises the standard ugly brakes. It'll do until I have a spare £2k for APs though. New wheel nuts too as the standard ones have the cheap chrome covers which get mashed up when removing them, and the lockers went rusty

Nice, I painted my calipers black because I couldn't be arsed to take the wheels off every week to keep them clean

Re: My UG Focus RS - Springs and exhaust
Most BMW's and Audi's don't even get painted brakes!
They look great, shouldn't be too bad to keep clean if the finish is good

pressure washer should keep them clean, saving taking off the wheels, looks good, but yeah theyre a bit ugly, i like to see the gap for the pad area that breaks up the colour
