cheers for the comments. i still havent decided wether to fit the steelies yet, i will probably respray them white and see what i think then
ive made a few adjustments over the last week or so, firstly i fitted a 2.0 throttle body, the picture below shows the difference in size between the 1.6, and 2.0 tb
i have noticed less low down tourque but much more power in the mid range, it still seemed to be holding back a bit, today i changed the spark plugs and HT leads and the acceleration is now spot on
and after posting pictures in this thread
http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/hb69-and-capri-steves-twilight-photos-vt152727/
i took the advice of several people and invested in some new number plates, i only got round to taking a picture of the rear plate, but as i was told, it has made such a difference to the appearance

well changing the plugs and leads has helped the problem, the acceleration was pretty brutal last night, it still bogs down a little in 4th and 5th, im putting it down to the 1.6 inlet though, and egr and cat so much power i have yet to unleash

Sooooooooo much better! And there is one advantage of Halfords's plates, and that's that you don't see their name on it unless you really look, but are completely legal

with ford fair at the end of the week, and me being off work all week too i can get some jobs done on the car, ive slowly been taking bits of the interior out over the last few weeks, aiming to strip nearly all the interior trim eventually
and today i fitted my rs1800 inlet and sandwich plate, which is clearly bigger than the 1.6 item thats been on since i fitted the engine
rs1800 sandwich plate is the bottom one, 1.6 si at the top
and the inlet manifold, rs1800 at the bottom again
there is noticeably less low down torque now, but the engine pulls throughout the revs, with a pronounced kick at 4k
lots of fun

after impressing me with a 6.95second 0-60 at ford fair, my car had another trick up its sleeve. yesterday i went to a corsasport.co.uk rolling road day at engine advantages in essex.
mine got 148.8bhp @5774rpm and 150.9 lbft torque. which has suprised me quite a bit. some people are a bit sceptical of the accuracy of the rollers, all i have to go on is that standard cars were making around there expected output, and that hopefully my result is a sign i have a healthy engine. i took some pictures while i was there

That's healthy power figure!

raymondo-its pretty much standard, just an air filter, and im using an rs1800 inlet. think thats all really, all the rest are 1.6 si parts.
