AGAR- im pleased with how it is now. cant help but think it needs a rollcage though
jam2006- yes im using a standard 1.6 si exhaust, still with the cat on it i havent done anything to the engine aside from what ive listed on page 5. i dont know anything of the history of the engine, aside from that it came from a 1998 auto mondeo
clark- one day when money allows ill be after a magnex system

Re: My xr2.0i (13/8/07)rolling road results and graph
right, finally i have invested in some good condition blue stripes. as my car has been so desperately lacking these since ive owned it. cheers to fiestadave58 for sending me some straight unmarked stripes
anyways after spending about a day getting the old adhesive off the back, i used some industrial strength tape to reattach the stripes today. i took a couple of pics while the sun was still shining.

Really sucks to hear the news, without seeing your car I would have never stripped the rear of mine and put a strut brace in.

i did an hpi check the other day and since then its thrown up a lot of questions about my cars colourful past, ill tell you about it in more detail on msn mate, but im seeing this as a chance to start with something new, and either get rid of the 2i as a whole or break it for parts im not sure yet.

cheers everyone
ollybee- i might, id probably rather sell the car as a whole to get rid of it, i havent decided yet though
jay- its not an xr2 im probably getting, its just a base spec mk2 1.1. main reason for wanting it is that its pretty much rust free all over, and has lots of potential. that last xr2 you posted looks awesome

Re: My xr2.0i (27/10/07)not good news
well over the last few days ive been to a few bodyshops and got them to assess the slight damage on the rear quarter, which was a result of a crash it apparantly had in 1998, it had been repaired but poorly, so 9 years on it was a bit worse for wear. today i took it to be welded properly and undersealed. i got it back this afternoon and am very happy with the result, i will be keeping the car now. i dont have any pictures of the work as its dark but ive got a stockpile of parts to fit to the car when i get a spare minute and ill take some pics then
