The car in primer/filler
The spoiler.. still sweet and smooth :-p
The front bumper.. finally in 1 colour .. now you can get an idea of what it will look like..
same for the rear (with contrast colour)
The boot.. in primer
The enginebay .. in primer..
the paint :-p
the boot .. in colour
The enginebay in colour (hmmz.. hard colour to 'catch' on photo
1 liter of paint was just enough to get paint in all the corners
Now the car is nearly ready to go to the bodyshop for it's final paintjob., just needs some sanding, removing of doors etc.
Doors, boot, bonnet, bumpers will be sprayed seperately

Just have done the final things before respray .. sanded down the car with even more fine sandpaper
taken care of some spots .. sanded the mirors.. etc etc it's now 99,9% clean and smooth :-p
and .. Taken out the doors.. (what a job)
The top doorpins were pretty easy .. the bottom ones were HELL
Made ourselves a special tool (chizzle .. grinded a slot into it) .. the left bottom pin came out .. 10mm .. and broke off. )-: but was loose
The right bottom doorpin .. moved just 3mm .. and broke off.. and had to be pushed out the other way.. (and grind off using a small multi tool grinder (with a 1" blade)
The result..
Door left
Door right
sliding roof.. ehhhm .. sunroof.. ehhm .. wel hole
Hinges
Bend and broken doorpins

Sweet idea with the sunroof - is it going to be one which slides back over the roof?
I was thinking about getting one from the SportKa (like in the advert with the cat! ).
I look forward to seeing it at FITP in May
Cheers,
Andy

It's a manual topslider.. First it tilts upwards.. then it slides back for about 25 cm

In the paintshop ..
all ready for the paintjob..
Rear
After the first layer of paint..
Then a second coat.. and 2 clearcoats, a speak preview thru the windows
First glanceses of the complete car in it's new colour
The auxilairy parts :-p
Boot, which i think held exceptionally well .. due to all the different materials used
Front bib (with the red glow of a vauxhaul corsa standing next to it)
rear bib
mirror hoods.. well .. ehhm all but the base plate :-p
And then .. my camera cut out (drained batteries)
so no pics of the bonnet, doors, base plates or bonnet hinges..
all ready for the paintjob..

Awesome colour mate, can i just ask you what this polyester filler your using is?
Do you have to mix it with a hardner paste? I guess it may be different in your country but over here its called P38 but i always find the slightest thing can crack it, and the filler is a brownish colour where yours is white? I was wondering if its any different?

Own mixture of filler (brownisch .. or white) and polyester fibres + hardner..
doesn't crack ... but you have to let it harden out for a while.. before you're gonna do the paintjob..
and don't have the heater on to much after the paintjob .. due to different expansion coëffients..

adamski frst :HOW YOU GETTING ON NOW JUR???
Well .. after some day's off (my gf had a party due to her birthday past weekend) we went back on .. had some minor setbacks again (i won't mention that at this time.. cause it will be fixed soon)
But hooked up the doors again with new doorpins (those will not be produced anymore .. so stock will shrink soon ) .. shopped around on the local scrappy .. bought some door-seals for around 3 pounds 50 (-: that came of a 2001 fiesta.. so near brand new..
sprayed some parts of the door-'locks'.. and screws.
mounted the leccy window mech on one door .. and will soon mount the chrome handle again .. and line up the doorlock..
then the other door will be done..
after that we will repaint the frontwheel-suspension .. and put the front of the car in the protecting black tar stuff (undercar bodyshutz)
Mount the koni's back on.. and go the the back.. repaint the rear suspension .. put some PU's in .. and mount the koni's
put the engine back in .. before that .. put the loom + dash back in ..
but not finished yet :-p
