need the proper advice guys
hi i have about 600 pound to spend on a bottom end for my fez turbo
now there is a guy on ebay doin 1.8 zvh them for 420 pound and everything is done like oil ways blanked, waterpump ect. i e-mailed him and he said it would be a straight swop and my cvh head, gear box and turbo will bolt straight on without any problem
BUT
today i phoned specised engineering and they said it wont so im VERY stuck who do i belive

Everything will bolt up but you will also need Zetec engine mounts and unless you are prepared to part with a lot of cash for a decent head you'll run out of wellie much past 5krpm. Imho and experience I would stick to the 1600CVH

cheers for that mate but my bottom end is buggered and i thought i would benefit more buy putting a zvh cuz it has bigger cc and more potential cuz at the moment all my car has is a ss zorst so what u recon i do or what can i do with 600 pound thrown at my engine

If you can drop the bottom end out yourself £600 should have it rebuilt to an acceptable basic standard (stock bottom end is capable of a touch over 200bhp without major issues if setup right). You will need to have the block inspected so you know what's what before speciing anything as until it's in bits and you know what's dead it's all a bit guesstimate
