Oh no!

I have videos, taken today, of her bursting into life for the first time and apparently we can't upload MP4 format?! nutsack!!

Nick found the alarm remote so I directed him towards Tescos to get some replacement batteries. Afterwards the alarm seemed to behave properly so we went to starting the bad boy 2.0l. All didn't go as planned she chugged over for a bit and then I established no fuel was getting anywhere. Problems ensued!

There were half an hours worth of discussion, before we began the removal of the fuel tank. Half way through I had an epiphany. I believe alcoholics call it "a moment of clarity", personally I called myself "a forgetful fucker"!! It seems fuel pressure is regained once someone presses the fuel cut off switch.

So anyway, switch pressed, she fired into life and we then preceded to refill the power steering and coolant systems and from that moment on it started idling like she had never been out of a car let alone sat on a pallet for four months!

Videos will follow if someone tells me how to post them! :P

A small progression today but the interior looks a lot better! The seat mounts and underlay went in then we pulled out the brand new Mk4/5 carpet which I am going to have to get for YRN! The hole for the handbrake is is some what different but easily sorted with the mk4 leather cover, I think it looks a lot better than the mk3 Zetec handbrake. The centre console was installed which needs minor cutting of the carpet around the front bracket and the accelerator stop but the interior looks great and as you can see from the pictures shows up how much the dash needs a damn good clean. You can really see the difference in length of the carpet up the bulkhead. We cut off the top end of the mk3 carpet and fed it behind the new one. How do people attach the two bits together if they've replaced the carpet? We are considering just gluing it. The brake lines are now complete with new flexible hoses which can just be made out through the wheels. It still need buffing as can be seen by the rear quarter picture but the bonnet was test fitted to give glimpse of what she will finally look like!
