New Door Speakers Create Lots of Rattling, Please Help

Postby DNO on Sat Aug 18, 2007 11:05 am

So basically I got rid of the useless Ford front and rear speakers and replaced them with some nice Alpine 13cm ones. They are really good quality and work really well with my new Alpine head-unit.

Problem is when I turn them up loud the bass makes the whole door rattle creating a lot of dodgy noise which ruins the quality of the speakers. It sounds even worse from outside the car, where you can barely hear the music over the rattling and vibrating!

Anyone else had this problem and are there any easy ways to sort it out and stop the annoying rattling/vibrating?? It would really help me a lot, cheers guys....

Made sure you put all the door card on properly and tightened all screws?

You could always buy some sound deadening and stick that inside your doors, floor and boot etc. :)

..or just turn the bass down.

if all panels are on properly then i would invest in some sound deadening and wave diffusers :)
