hi i think my engine has had its day as she is sounding pretty rough now , its an 8v xr2i engine with 151,000 miles on it so she has done pretty well, what id like to know is whats aneasy engine to put into a 2i engine bay?
would like to stay with the same size as it means my insurance doesnt change , so something like a 1.6 16v zetec?
i know nothing about this so please help and tell me what i can and cant do?
thanks in advance
mark. :D :D

There is someone on here selling a 2i engine if you fancy another one of those?

if you were gonna go zetec and have pretty much the same bhp, why not get a 1.8 16v out of 16v 2i, they are very torquey and more fun to drive imo than the 8v.

Although expect to change a lot of stuff if you want to go zetec and if you go to all that trouble why not 2.0...130 bhp on tap.... :D
