New photo's of my car (for insurance purposes) *7 ADDED*
I've just taken a few pics of my car for its Agreed Valuation, plus listing the spec of the thing took long enough! These are the first half-decent pictures I've taken of it in its new lease of life, I'll have a crack at some more scenic ones in a bit. Please bear in mind this is the second time in 12 months it's been washed quickly with a bucket and sponge...it's still awaiting a polish! One or two niggles cropping up that will be ironed out in September, but I still think it can turn up for a photo and look good
Mapping tomorrow, let's hope it still looks like this when I get it back!
Just took a trip down the road for a scenic pic or two. They're not amazing, but it just feels good to get it out on the road, MOT'd and taxed TBH! Brakes saved me from having a sheep where the intercooler should be, and a horse tried its luck too!!! Anyway, tonight's pics. Temps are all still fine, so it's off out at 8am tomorrow with a fairly confident mind

Thanks Ade I really hope I can get over 4k valuation for it at this stage, 4.5k would be peace of mind. I'm not allowed to use MSN here at home, so I'm MSNless till September I'm afraid matey

cek_mk3 - I'm trying to find a 1.1 Popular in Radiant Red so I can send in photo's of that. I don't want to have to pay too much insurance. I already have some pics of the engine bay dude, will use those
Rawli - Cheers, and I know what you mean. I'd much prefer the 16s, but they're not worth the hassle really. If I'm two up I get light scrubbing on bumps (replacing bump stops with bigger ones would possibly cure that) and I want it as driveable as possible. Never say never, so who knows? Cosworth wheels are never out of the question I don't have a great deal more to do now really, bar the bodyshop stuff, so maybe I'll need to look into that some more....
Andi - Cheers! Was hoping for a crazy sunset or something, but it was quite bland. Still, yeah it is a nice place to live for the scenic, peaceful, lack-of-policeful driving kind of side of things, but I live miles away from anyone I know and miles from anything to do...hence the car! I made the pic below last night for a desktop. Stuck to my usual, boring "Photoshop Desktop Making Process" but they usually come out looking quite cool

Looking swish James, as ever. Some awesome pics in there and great composition. The car is looking stonking - I bet you can't wait to get the finished result! Top work that man!

Fanx Awwix Had a great day today, just got to try and sit back and relax and hope MSD give me a call or two to let me know how things are going. I really really hope I can get what I want from it, and that it goes as well as it should and stays in one piece! CRF took me out in his (standard 1.6CVH) and they really do go well, so I can't imagine what mine will be like with an extra 60bhp+!

The waiting is the worst bit, isn't it! Not long now tho mate - and Saturday will be Christmas come early for both of us, it seems, as I'll probably be getting the final timing setup done on the Capri then. It had to be knocked back a couple of degrees due to some non-super-unleaded finding its way in somehow so it's not quite at full power at the moment bloody petrol stations. When she's breathed on Saturday all will be back to normal though - and I'll have notched up the requisite mileage by then too so it really will be all systems go - finally!

Ahh then finally the old girl can be set free I wanted it to be mapped using fuel from my local station, so turned up with 3/4 of a tank of the stuff. Kenny said there's no way it'll run with that, so he'll attempt to map it with a bottle or two of fuel additive in it, but if it won't map he'll have to drain it and fill it with Super. I want it to run on Super, not Optimax, as there simply aren't any Shell garages near us, not within 20 miles AFAIK, and my dad thinks that one doesn't even sell Optimax, so it'll be about 40 miles minimum to find the stuff. It feels like a day should've passed already, but it's not even ten hours!!!
Let us all know how you get on on Saturday too :D:D

I'll be sure to mate, don't you worry! Damn shame about the fuel sitch though mate, I'm sorry to hear it. Super should be good enough, I'd imagine? That's what I'm on. Optimax-only would be a pain. Still, I'm sure you'll find a way to cope whatever the circumstances - if the reward is driving the ZT, I can't see you letting a mere distance of 40 miles get in your way!

Kartracer69 - They're there so I can hear the buggers instead of getting muffled sounds through from inside the boot!! It rarely gets left anywhere for chives to see so they're staying there

Looks lushious Jim-bob. It's going to be a real weapon when it's done and dusted. The only real thing about it that gives away its not an FRST is the plate. But who wants and FRST when you've got 1.8 16v turbo'd power under the bonnet instead

Cheers scotty Which plate are you on about? The 1.8T badge? And no "tss" for me at the moment, just chatter, though I'll take the dump valve with me just for fun and games
