Newbie with restored FRST
Hi, im new, sort of! Well i been on here a while, just never bothered posting anything. I thought it was about time i shared with you my FRST.
Ill just post some pics for now, ill give a full spec at a later date, those of you who know will see its not completely standard. It has been bare shelled, not just tarted up.
I recently cleaned the underside, ill get some pics up eventually. Also ill get some pics up of a 90 spec XR3I i also restored.
Also, id like information on RS Combe, I attend every year, but cant remember seeing a fiestaturbo club stand? Do they have a club stand, or have i not taken enough notice lol.

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
Not liking the engine bay if im honest, way to much blue, blue rocker cover doesnt suit it, neither do the strut tops. Other than that is nice.
Car looks very nice from the outside too

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
Nice, I like that but the only thing I would change is the strut tops, black would be my choice. Other than that I wouldnt change anything. However bet the rocker cover would look better in crackle black
Top work there mate

Very nice, just needs a set of ambers and an HT Lead holder.
Not keen on the blue strut tops though.

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
Although I helped re assemble the car, the car actually belonged to a friend of mine who worked at a body shop, who also restored my xr3i, so I had no input in the choice of parts.
Things you don't really see are the 3 way AVO coilovers, polybushes, and 3 inch SS from the T3 all the way through. I will put a full spec up when I can be bothered!
Here's my XR3I

Thanks again guys.
Looks like most of you are pretty local. I'm from Westbury, Wiltshire. I'll have to check and see if there's any local meets.

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
I'll do a quick spec off the top of my head.
1800 ZVH
T3 from S1
Beige injectors, I think, can't remember
OFAB with custom chip to suit T3, and injectors
Double capacity cooler
Full 3 inch, with larger down pipe, from series 1 I believe
Vernier pulley
AVO coil overs
Fully polybushes
Greenstuff pads
LSD box
Stage 1 organic clutch
Clifford concept 500
Edit- braided brake hoses, full rose motorsport hose kit, incase you didn't see lol
I think that's it. The great thing about the build is every part sourced were brand new, which means I have every reciept for every part, standard or uprated. Also when I bought the car I had mass amounts or spares, which will be sold with the car.

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
No I sold it a few years ago now, it got raped properly, s2 kit, White painted sidestrips, parcel shelf cut, mfi turbo lump fitted, diy painted rs bonnet. I was gutted when I seen it for sale again, made me feel sick to my stomach. I nearly bought it again and done it all again, wish I never sold it in the first place really.
I'll be putting the FRST up for sale sometime this year possibly, but I won't make the same mistake as I did with the 3i. I won't sell it to some baseball cap wearing, weed smoking, child producing council waller, not unless they pay me a lot of money anyway.
Just so you get a general idea of thebloke I sold it to. The first thing he done after giving his child black current juice in the car, was spark up a giant spliff. The 90 spec recaro's I sourced for the car were A1, not a mark.

Re: Newbie with restored FRST
Lol it was a shame really, like you said, it would of made a good enthusiast car. It will be up for sale eventually, when it's road legal again, been off the road for well over a year now. I wouldn't really know what it would fetch, if I had a better idea, I might be more inclined to sell it lol.

Sold to an rs owner enthusiast. Im sure someone from here will spot it on rs owner forum, and club stand at all ford events this year.
Also, I won't be using the forum anymore. Nice to meet you all, thanks for the interest in my little fiesta.
