Newman cams

Has anyone had problems with there newman cams braking someone i no has seen two broken when fittinmg them in to there fiat engined race cars.

prob that they are not installing them right!

if they have cap to hold the in like the zetec if they are not tightened down in the correct sequence then there is unequal loading forces across the cam and they will snap no matter who makes them.

He has also seen one when it was delivered it was broken. I might be that there is a problem with the metal as they are custom cams and they have only made about 30 so far.

Postage damage or in correct instalement is what this sounds like to me.

Will likely be just that batch if at all - Newman Cams have been going decades.

i doubt very much there to be a problem with the metal of the blanks! newman cams are regarded as the best you can buy for many many applications i would say 99% defo thats its an installation error that has caused it and the one that has come broken again that would be due to very poor handling by the post office where it was bashed against something and something else bashing it at same time or such like.

I have a newman cam, never had any probs and one of the best upgrade i have done!

When installed your meant to immidatly on first start rev car to around 3 / 4 K for about 5 - 10 mins.

i use a newman cam in my frst too and havent had any problems

ive got a newman cam in my zetec turbo (not up and running yet though) but great service from newan, well packed and great delivery sevice from tnt :D

I did a group buy on newman cams last years, 20 odd people had them, none experienced any problems.
