i can agree with needing a bra, ive suffered bonnet chips in my not so old paint on the bonnet of mine,, so i see the need, despite them rarely looking good on any car

Sheriff Burman :I take off the caps - they're such a loose fit that they fall off over potholes etc, so its not worth the risk keeping them on all the time. They're safely stored in the boot lol. I forgot to put them on when taking those pics.

Your to right there i've lost my two rear ones suppose they could have been stolen but they dissappeared both on the same road which is a very nice b road so i think they just came on with some hard driving. s**t things i'm getting some more soon as i'm not a fan of the alloys without them.

Silicone sealant works but you just end up bending the metal getting them off when you need to change tyres which is a Bic™. As long as they're lined up ok they're generally ok. I've removed the metal off mine so will probably silicone them back on.

Just ordered another performance enhancing mod. Should add between 20-25bhp if fitted correctly.

2011 Focus mist-type washer jets.

Right-ho...

Car had its air con serviced and a healthcheck done at the same time. Brought up one or two issues...

Rear tyres on 3mm tread
Engine oil approaching low
Brake Fluid has 4% moisture content
Gearbox torque link bush has a slight tear

Already sorted the oil, it was midway between high and low. Over the weekend I flushed the brake system and refilled with DOT5.1 fluid, replacing the horrible green manky DOT4 that was in there, and adjusted the exhaust so it doesn't hit the bumper.

Over the winter I'll be polybushing the torque link and new tyres.

After that, a wash, polish, etc, and managed to get some half-decent pics of it at a meet I went to.

You will need a press to polybush the torque link, and i had the powerflex ones for my mk6 and they didnt fit the link properly, so i sold them. maybe better going for the vibratechnics option

I'm fairly sure there's a CFM mount from Pumaspeed which is a direct uprated replacement which I may look into.

I get paid Friday dude, I haven't forgotten.

What kind of service intervals are you doing on this car? You use it to commute don't you?

As of last week I no longer need to drive to work, which brings so many benefits.

The ford recommended service interval is 12.5k but I've been doing it between 9 and 10k. 10 months ish?

I was going to say, that's a fair distance hence seeing a bit of oil use! I think 12.5k is certainly a long interval. I wonder how effective the oil is after that kind of mileage.

I do have a bit of a rubbing noise seemingly from the discs, I'm thinking that they're warped discs though, I've had a look and the new bolts don't seem to be touching the ABS ring or the hub, so I'm assuming where I've disturbed the handbrake and hubs that it's that that's making the noise.

It's the discs themselves. Went down to my mate at the garage and he reckons it's warped discs. Symptoms seem to match :)
