since drillin the arbox on ma 1.3 the egine is a little louder and much mietier than usual. the only prob is the amp seems to be picking up this noise. comes through the speaks as a wining and changes pitch as i rev the engine, is worse on startup but quietens dwn when engine is warm, the earth cable is still in place . any ideas

you need a ground interference loop they about £10 and you plug it in the rca before they go into the amp, i had this wining problem and it gets louder when you rev the car it is because the rca pick up the interference.

get yourself some good quality rca cables before you start buying ground loops ,i had the same prob on my si and i went and bought a rockford phosgate wiring kit and used the rca s from it and it solved the problem

pg wiring used, wasnt cheap, the ground looop thing - cos ive got 2 rcas il need 2 of these loops then, cheers guys

my dads disco was doing this cus one of the subs was earthing to the bodywork....
