NOS kit advice

Postby chicken_eyebrows on Fri Jan 21, 2005 10:58 am

Hi there

I read on this site that the Fiesta Zetec E 1.6 16v engine "responds well to NOS", but only up to a 75bhp increase. Any higher than this will put too much stress on the engine. I am considering getting a NOS kit, but don't know which one I need. Can anyone tell me whether it's wet, dry or direct port and whether there are any shops or mail order companies in the Southeast that sell them?

Thanks,

Jamie

I wouldnt want to sling a 75 shot into an engine before I knew it would cope, thats just asking for trouble.

If you are serious about this can I recomend that you take your car to someone who knows what they are doing. They will probably start you off with smaller squirts of n2o and gradualy build it up.

I would save my money and go for an engine swap though.

N2o is fun for a while, but not road legal and can end up being expensive.

IMO
