OFAC Management

Postby project_mistral on Mon Jun 23, 2008 12:13 pm

Can these managements be re-mapped? i was always under the impression that you cant and only piggy-back chips were possible. I have heard that someone like Ahmed Bayjoo is able to re-map or internally chip the original ecu.

Im running t2 hybrid holding 16psi, beiges, kent cvh34 cam and a based cosworth 2wd intercooler. Im currently usinf a Superchips 195 chip but im looking for something that cane be mapped better...

any help much appreciated

The chips that go onto the the J3 port of the ecu are remapped. This is the most common way of remapping an eec-iv because very few people can re-flash the original eprom within the ecu. Regardless of whether a chip or a re-flash is done, the skill of the tuner is what matters most.

Chipping the 0FAC management is done using a piggyback chip .. (as you superchip is right now)

MSD chips can be spec mapped.. but a RR or livemap is also a possibility..
