Hi i just changed my oil and filter and everything seems ok. The old oil was like treakle and i am now using mobil motorsport1 15/50 f/s.

When turning engine over to warm oil etc to get perfect level.....it was farting and there seemed a flat spot and a hiss when gently revving, also the tappets were real noisy and there was a real loud knocking in same area. I have just run it and it seems fine now, sorry about the "story" i just looking for some reassurance as it was empty on jacks etc for over an hour.......this is normal?

yes mate it was the pump pressuring up...normally happens on oil changes for a few seconds

appreciate reply bass, i got a few questions on my sub amp etc for u btw, when i accelerate in neutral ....there is an air gasp...initialy before the revs kick in.......what is this......i hear it in the bay whilst on the pedal...what is it anyone? cheers again bass

you dont say how loud the gasp is so it could be induction.

also does it sound like its air escaping or air being sucked in?

Hi, its air escaping...like i press accelerator first touch is a gasp of air.........if i floored it when driving, i dont ,it wouldnt be noticeable regarding the reaction time of pressure on pedal
Ppl say im mad as the cant hear it, but its there....and one s who do hear it say"nothing to worry about!!" it maybe aint buy they aint trying to maintain a nice frst.....and i think it is....
