oil pressure
im getting a oil pressure gauge for my cvh 1.6 xr2i any one fitted one before or no how to fit and where to put the sender unit help

There are quite a few opinions about this. Personally I would invest in a Tee piece arrangement and screw it into the block where the pressure switch goes in. Then you can have the normal pressure switch screwed in at one side and the new gauge into the other.
Temperature gauges are a little different as they need a constant flow of oil. If plumbing in one of these as well I suggest getting a sandwich plate and off that run the oil into a swirl pot, where the sensor would also be. The oil would then come out of the swirl pot and back into the sandwich plate and engine. Others on here have suggested screwing it into the sump plug hole but personally I think that a s**t idea as the oil is in the pan and cooling by that point.
