Oil return pipe
I've just removed my mates engine running the standard t2.I need to remove the standard threaded oil return at the front of the block.

yeah its a large threaded nut - it just turns

Right I thought I had one of these removed somewhere.
This is the piece that is fitted into the front of the block
In the pic above the bit to the left is obviously the threaded part that the oil return pipe connects to, the part to the right is not threaded, and just pushes into the block face. Hence why it's just turning.
You need to try to pry it / pull it while turning if you know what I mean. Get some WD40 on it and turn it backwards and forwards, You should be able to get it out
