Looking to run 20psi plus eventually via a 2100cc Zetec Turbo
Thanks
Matt

Thanks

The Organic clutch kit is perfect for all Escort and Sierra cars. Although it has increased spring clamp pressure compared to a standard clutch, the design of the clutch diaphragm cover means that the greater pressure does not translate into a heavier clutch pedal. The clutch plate is a full circle organic plate and is not harsh like performance clutches, making it very suitable for everyday road use. A superb road clutch which is not heavy and will handle 350 bhp.

I believe it says on the AP webpage itself that it will handle 170bhp
Obviouslly it will take more, but I doubt the kind of power a Zetec Turbo will throw at it. Try asking MoondustFRST what he uses on his ZetecTurbo. He should know for sure.

Matt, if you ask Karl norris or mark shead, they'd recommend an AP racing organic clutch
Tim Butch is running one in his proven 260+bhp and is not having probs
However some people dont rate them
Get a paddle if you wanna make sure it dont slip, u gotta skim the flywheel and clutch pedal will feel nice and heavy
ill be going for an AP racing fast road organic CP2000-8 if i decide to keep the car

Stoned :lol paddle
Organic is officially rated up to 170bhp!
Yeah but a standard clutch can take that so would imagine it is good for around 200BHP, what do u think?
Id like organic when i need a new 1 because they last longer than a paddle type so ive been told.

I'd say 200+ myself, but I've never owned one so I'm no expert.
Some people say the Ford one will do 200bhp and indeed Gav's one does. But I got one on mine and it slips at 150bhp let alone 200!
It's not that old either

Well u don't exactly use full power when launching anyway unless uve got a Quaife ATB diff so wouldn't expect the clutch to get f**cked by launching it a lot unless u floor it and let it wheelspin and hit the limiter when engaging would u?

organic's are rubbish for anything with serious Torque i had one in my xr2 zetec turbo and it span up the first time out in it wasn't very chuffed as i was told it would handle more than it did(n't) paddle clutch every time as long as the flywheel is in good order you can't tell that much between a std one
